Wonderful work, Russia! I'm very pleased to see you still so committed to the film and realizing your personal vision for it. Not many people would be so willing to edit a film not just twice, but three times! :) I hope you don't mind some of our more 'spirited' members and what they have said. I ap...

Re: Paper Mario Series
I liked in Thousand Year Door where you got to play as Bowser and Peach... they could really take that to the next level. It always seems like they're afraid to give Mario and Luigi (and Link, also) too much personality or even dialogue since they're traditionally avatars for the person playing the...

My girlfriend has started to play Paper Mario under my guidance. It took her a few hours to work through the prologue chapter, but I think she's now enjoying the game. Hopefully we can continue to the end, then start Thousand Year Door! I also thought that this would be a good opportunity to discuss...

Pretty cool! Did he seem interested in you and our work or at least pleasant to a fan, or did he not care? (I really can't see him being an asshole, even considering the subject-matter)
Now I just need to meet him! 25th anniversary screening, maybe?

Do you really think that Sony would hand off such a hot property to a third party studio? They'll definitely be doing this in-house.

Same here. I spent a lot of time explaining why I did something completely asocial, followed by sitting at a desk in the empty hallway outside of the principal's office. Good times.

Re: How was your childhood like Pokémon in real life?
Have you read at all about the origins of the game series? It was very much inspired by growing up in rural Japan. Japanese kids spent a lot of time fishing, bug-catching and exploring caves. (That's why a lot of Japanese games feature caves/dungeons, including Miyamoto's own Legend of Zelda and Pik...

Re: Max Landis' "Super Mario World" Script + Concept Art
Max Landis is an up-and-coming director who a lot of people seem to think is an entitled hipster. I've no opinion myself.
The script, however, is awesome. Landis has stated that he wrote it as a child, so he doesn't feel it to be particularly good, but it was a worthwhile experiment and practice.

I'd watch this. Even if the previews were terrible and reviews indicated the same I'd watch the hell out of it. It has the potential to be truly amazing.
The Zelda universe is timeless. Unlike Super Mario, I can see any era ('80s, '90s or now) producing something remarkable.

I'd prefer to see either Dreamworks or Pixar handle an animated adaptation, but Sony has had a fairly good output and could easily produce something worthwhile if they put their best on the project. Unfortunately, Arad is far from their best. Just look at what he did to the Spider-Man franchise.

We've received our copy of the Blu-Ray and so far have determined it to be an amazing edition. The picture and sound quality of the film itself alone makes this worth a purchase. I grew up with Robin, much like many others in my generation and those before. He was one of the few celebrities that felt truly down-to-earth and sincere. His departure leaves a hole in the world.

There are several programs that allow you to play DVD/Blu-Ray discs on your computer regardless of region. That's probably the best we can suggest for this in Region 1 who are unwilling to purchase a region-free player.

I don't see the point. They could have continued to make low-budget, direct-to-video animated films throughout the '90s and '00s, but an actual theatrical film is way past its prime. A live-action/CG-hybrid also isn't the smartest direction, although I'll withhold any judgment for the trailer.

I don't have a horse in this race. I'm not invested enough in comics, let alone any particular group (DC or Marvel), to make me care about whether an actor is truly appropriate for a role. I've talked to people that have claimed they've never watched Walker's video on the film, yet still believed that Mario is Luigi's father. I can't imagine too many people would come to that conclusion on their own, so for the most part it has to have been at least through pop culture osmosis.
