Re: Movies You're Anticipating
I will say that I find Zac Efron to be perfect for the role. :P He looks for the role, but I don't know if he can pull of the insanity part right. He would either be really good, or really bad. It probably won't happen for a while, but it seems Warner Brothers is pushing for the project to stay ali...

Re: What's your LEAST favorite Mario game?
My least favorite Mario game, without a doubt...is Super Paper Mario . I've mentioned the large number of reasons why in other threads, but yeah--I hate that game. Wow. Someone else who hates Super Paper Mario! Everyone adores that game. I probably hate it for the same reasons as you, so no need to...

Re: Movies You're Anticipating
The American live-action "Death Note" adaption. It's in pretty early stages, but, after Dragon Ball Evolution & Avatar: The Last Airbender, I wanna see if they can redeem themselves with this. They say it will be a "Thriller", so, maybe there's some hope. Well, unless if they...

Re: What's your LEAST favorite Mario game?
I would have to say Lost Levels, it's just the exact same game engine and way to hard. I never understood why fans hate SMB2USA, different is good. I'd have to also say those games that were released between SMW, and SM64. When Nintendo was basicly letting developers screw over their franchise. I d...

Re: "It's popular, so it sucks"
What's wrong with Scott Pilgrim? I found Cera completely unlikeable and unsympathetic in the role. The entire premise felt like it was pandering towards the gamer/nerd culture, which irked me. It seemed more like they were trying to make something zany and cult-pleasing on purpose, which rarely eve...

Re: What's your LEAST favorite Mario game?
I almost sort of agree. While I grew up with Super Mario World first and hold much nostalgia for it and many of its levels it simply hasn't aged with me as well. I've come to appreciate Super Mario Bros. 2 and 3 much more. While I wouldn't say that I dislike Super Mario World, I just don't enjoy it...

What's your LEAST favorite Mario game?
Well, all of them are fantastic in their own way. Just some people don't prefer one Mario game over the others. A common one people tend to not care for is Super Mario Sunshine, due to it's strange tone, & different style of platforming from the regular Mario-standards. Which ones do you particu...

I absolutely cannot stand any show by Seth Mcfarlene. Is that really what American humor is coming to?

Re: 'Bad' Movies That You Still Enjoy
That one's a guilty pleasure for me, as I read the book after seeing the 1980 Stanley Kubrick movie, then watched the 1997 version and compared them. I enjoyed both, but the 1980 version is far superior. The remake, despite being much closer to the book still took too many liberties with the origin...

Re: Underrated Video Games
Oh, man. Super Mario Sunshine. I don't know why so many people called that a bad platformer. I found it better than Galaxy 2, at the least. Shadow Mario was a pretty awesome villian. I think people just didn't like the voice acting. People wanted voice acting in Skyward Sword, my answer would be, &q...

Underrated Video Games
Every console has it's main-line of videogames. Our ol' pal, Mario, is one of them of course! But every system has it's masterpieces that just never caught on. Got any specific ones you just love, but aren't so well known? One of mine would be 'Clash of the Demonhead' on the NES (No, not the band in...

Re: 'Bad' Movies That You Still Enjoy
That crummy TV movie remake of 'The Shining' from 1997. The acting was reminscient of a English Anime dub, the effects were blech, the horror was so underwhelming, & the script was so poorly written. But yet, it may be the only decent remake/TV movie I have seen. It was enjoyable for it's cheesi...

Re: Super Mario Bros. on 3DS Movie Line-up?
As long as they dont convert it to 3D They don't put it in 3D, there's a little slide at the side of the system that makes the picture 3D, in which you can slide it up n' down to turn it on or off, so basically the movie would be in it's original state, and 3D. Yeah, I heard about that push for a 3...

Super Mario Bros. on 3DS Movie Line-up?
It is a fact now, Nintendo, Disney, Dreamworks & Warner Bros. will be getting together to distribute 3D movies such as "How to Train your Dragon" and "Toy Story 3" on the Nintendo 3D's "eShop channel", which will be launching in May or June. Thinking of that, though...

Re: An interesting Super Mario Bros. Reboot Idea
Tim Burton would be good for: -Re-creating the darker atmosphere the original film had -Good character traits & development -Claymation (It would look cool, but I'd rather have the visual style of the '93 movie) -Musical score -Marketing (His other films had great marketing, Mario Bros. would be...

Re: Sequel Fan Poster
What about Smitty/Smitthy? from Super Mario RPG. He feels like the dictator type of person that coudl work for SMB2. He could work for the most part, but not really in the same way he did for SMRPG, since the 'sword in the castle' thing wouldn't work in the style of in the SMB movie, and the abilit...

Re: Sequel Fan Poster
Yeah, I can't really think of any other Mario villain that would fit for a sequel. Wart works because he could translate well into a human character, other enemies like Fawful just wouldn't work in a film. Count Bleck could work, or Booster, Wario too, but Wart just fits the best. He was in original...

Re: Sequel Fan Poster
I could imagine Bob Hoskins (Mario) in the same blue tone from the first poster holding the flame in his hand with a smirk on his face. That's actually what I am working on right now, Mario saluting with a flaming hand, with Luigi holding a plunger and wearing the "Thwomp Stompers 2.0" I ...

Re: Sequel Fan Poster
Awesome poster, Oni. I'm fine with Mario wielding a fireball, but I am curious on how you'd fit such an idea into the film's take on things. I'm sure there's a way where it would be thematically possible. Looking forward to seeing future posters and sketches, especially those geared for the sequel....

Here is a poster for a sequel I came up with: http://i55.tinypic.com/124hvs1.jpg I was originally gonna do a different version of the "M logo" poster, but, I thought a completely different take would be more interesting. I might make a M logo poster too, as well as some others. Also some t...

I got a word from a movie n' game store over here called 'HMV', here's what one of the guys said: "The live action Mario movie? It sells well. I usually mention and recommend it when people buy one of the Mario cartoon DVDs." I don't know if this counts, but I remember when I was little a ...

Another comic to start out with. Inspired by the fact that the Police Car chase is referencing Super Mario Kart. This one was kinda hard because of the Police Car (I took the design of the ERTL toy to draw it, lol)

This is a cool idea! I live in Canada, so, I can get some voice about the SMB movie from some Video stores that the US do not have, even though not many stores have it here (No video rental stores carry SMB here, at least where I am at, so I can't get info from that)

Super Mario Bros. Comics
I've noticed that one of the biggest complaints is that the Goombas look nothing like Goombas, so I thought: "What if the Super Mario Movie universe saw the game version of a Goomba?" Therefore, a made a comic out of it. Enjoy!

Ah, thank you for your nice comment
A Golf tournament? Kinda a strange thing in a Mario movie, but I'm sure that would have been an interesting scene, least' it's referencing one of the games
That sounds nice, go ahead and post it up when ya' have the time

Super Mario Bros. Review
I've seen many, many reviews of this movie, and personally, most of them are downright terrible;commenting on such things as, "That's a King Koopa?! That's not a King Koopa! THIS is a King Koopa!" or "Where the hell did Luigi's mustache go?!". I made my own review to comment on t...
