Re: New Year's Eve: The Closing of the Year

We used to have large parties with us and 2 other families when I was younger but work schedules changing over the decades have kinda killed that. One family works for GM so it's hard to tell their schedule, walmart has my dad working every new years eve now, and the other family has a sick son who ...

Re: The Planet of the Apes Films

I'm a huge fan of the originals, some more than others of course, and I don't even acknowledge that Tim Burton mess. I'm waiting for the newest movie to hit the 5.00 bin and grab it. i plan on getting the box set on amazon that comes with the documentary "Behind the planet of the apes" as ...

Re: GameCube (GCN) Discussion/Recommendations

Thanks for the heads up. I accidentally ordered Metroid prime 2 to only find out it came with the gamecube i ordered so i'll have to return it or trade it at the local store. It's funny how some gamecube games are more than others used. Metal gear, zelda, and some Resident evil games are thru the ro...

Re: Star Trek Franchise

I grew up on reruns of the original series and the first few seasons of Next gen. I read the books Shatner wrote and they weren't bad but like the Star Wars novels are sort of a Universe onto themselves not used in the movies. The new movie i just couldn't get into. I sorta liked Enterprise and DS9 ...

I never even heard of it. The BTTF game would make it worth it. Only reason I played Kingdom Hearts 2 on the PS2 was for the Tron area

It could have been an evolution weapon that returns them to their ideal evolved state. Yeah I just made it up but maybe evolution returns a creature to a previous state but a more advanced version of it.

I actually just remembered a pair of gauntlets i got at a renfaire that has spikes. If they're not the right size they have enough to redo it with at least.

Small update. I ran out of spikes with only 4 spots to fill so now i have to either make a fast mold and pour them from fiberglass or buy another 12 which i have no use for.

Anything but rap and grunge. Mostly 80s and earlier, some 90s, very little made after 1999 as it's all follows formulas the entertainment industry have. Even newer metal doesn't do much for me other than 80s acts.

I don't dare tell my parents taht i have starfox or mario cart or they'll steal the machine away. My dad would take over my room and play starfox all the time. He did the same for ace combat for the PS1 so i got him a copy to use with the beat up ps2 in the living room

Re: GameCube (GCN) Discussion/Recommendations

I'm going to try and get all the games i can. I really wish nintendo had stayed with no regional blocks for games like they did with the original gameboy games on all their systems. So many great games never made it over here. I'm for sure getting metroid prime 2 and some accessories as i saw a game...

GameCube (GCN) Discussion/Recommendations

Thanks to my folks giving me 25.00 with amazon and a loan of 21.00 until friday and my aunt sending me 20.00 I was able to score a Metroid Prime gamecube. I wish I'd kept my old one but I wasn't impressed with it when I first got it sadly. Still 65.00 shipped i didn't think was too bad. Any games I ...

Re: The Silent Hill Series

I loved the first game, the second was okay. I played the prequel on psp and was glad i only paid 12.00 for it. I'm looking to get Shattered Memories at some point. I think I'm one of the few people who liked the movie even if the ending was a bit vague at first. The creepy thing is in the movie the...

Re: Metroid: Other M

I remember the original metroid from over at my friend's house. They were the first people I knew to get an NES and never wanted for any of the games. I actually inherited a bunch of nintendo powers from them. Actually they never lacked any game systems come to think of it. I got my first taste of m...

Re: The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! Discussion

The only way I got to see SMB super show was when I was at my friends' house 15 minutes away as they had cable as they're in the city and we didn't get cable until 1990-1991. By the time Mario 3 and mario land came out I kinda had lost interest. I never realized how bad Captain N was until recently ...

Re: The debate of Mario's voice

I couldn't figure out why he has a thick Italian accent in the games. Captain Lou was good as him in the original Mario cartoons and I don't remember the mario world ones but I'm sure that voice fits. It always bugged me that he sounded like a really bad Italian imitation when he's supposed to by a ...

Re: What would you guys think of a He-Man movie?

The 80s movie wasn't bad but it was at a time when I was a huge He-man fan. I agree SFX might not be the right way to go, especially as crappy as hollywood seems to do them lately. If anything a mix of practical and digital would be the way to go like in Jurassic park or titanic as those are still t...

The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! Discussion

I just finally got started watching this as I have all but the last season when it was combined with Captain N. I forgot how cheesy it is but it's a great slice of the 80s and the cartoon is actually pretty well written and fits in well with the game universe. Wish Captain N had been so well written...

Re: BLU-RAY RE-RELEASE INFORMATION/PETITION

The problem is that Disney has this attitude towards all of its movies, not just this one. They just throw the movies onto dvd without much cleanup or adjustments. Only the ones they know will make them a buck like the 90s animated stuff do they bother with. I already had a low opinion of Disney and...

It's hard to take PETA seriously when all they do is use scare tactics against children and others. They're eco terrorists in my book like the folks who burn down buildings and raid animal cages.

SMB inspired Thwomper boots

This build is Starfighter29's (a member on another board and maybe on here) fault for posting pics of the boots used in the movie and actually I'd probably not even have gotten started if he hadn't been patient in answering my questions. A bit of a warning though: these aren't going to be screen acc...

Re: "Nintendo Ready to 'Re-Think' Zelda"

I'd be happy if they'd simply get the timeline worked out so they didn't have the two universes with Link in them after it splits off when he time traveled. Though a reboot of the series might not hurt, famous last words I know.
