Re: NEW! Super Mario Bros. - The 20th Anniversary Re-edit

This will be a good opportunity to finally rewatch the cut. Been awhile since you first released it.

Will you be looking into hosting it on FanEdit.Org? That'd be a good community for a wider audience.

I love SMB2 as well. After watching your previous short I think you can really do the game justice.

I never would have expected so much love from the man who played Luigi. Really amazing work, guys.

Did you know anyone involved in the marathon? As such a popular local event it seems like everyone knew someone who was involved in some way.

Re: Sequel comic

Wart's plan is certainly an unusual take, though not one I'm entirely opposed to. Exploring the dinosaur world's lack of resources/vegetation just makes sense thematically. I think eco-terrorism could really work if you make Wart and his followers' motivation believable.

Re: Sequel comic

I'm loving this redesign. It's a good compromise between the film's jumpsuits and the game's coveralls. The addition of the flack jacket also inspires thoughts of a more hard-edged adventure.

Re: Sequel comic

Looks like I'm seeing this at just the right time. It's always fascinating to see not only who the villain is but how they're designed. Your Wart is certainly more refined than what I would have thought or what I've seen before. It's a new approach that's making me very curious as to how the story p...

Redstar, Clous, Marla and I went to a potluck a couple days ago. I brought steak and potatoes. We ended up buying two cases of Smirnoff and playing drinking games with Double Dash!!

Re: Goomba Baracks Scene -- Comic Adaptation

It's a shame you drew such a minimalist scene as the Goomba barracks are too simple a room to do justice to your great character design. It would be cool to see you approach another, more location-oriented scene, like the Boom Boom Bar or Koopa's suite. I second the motion that you do more pages. Ho...

Re: Nintendo Wii U Discussion/Recommendations

My brother promises to buy us a WiiU so that we can play the Wind Waker remake and presumably the new Smash Bros. and Mario Kart. I'm not holding him to that, but it would be great to have those games. Be sure to let us know how they play if any of you get to them before we do!

Re: Paper Mario Series

I've played all three and consider The Thousand-Year Door to be the best of the series. It just improves on the formula enough to make it a new experience without being something completely separate. I'd play it again and again more often than I'd re-play the first Paper Mario or even RPG.

Re: Disney buys Lucasfilms...Star Wars Ep.7 on the way

My father is a Star Wars nerd, so I'm curious what his thoughts on these upcoming films are. I still don't know how he feels about the prequels, so that would be a good indicator of his impression. I myself am apprehensively interested. Time will tell if they write a worthwhile continuation of the u...

Will you be submitting one or all of these cuts to the Fan Edit website? Your changes are enough for it to be a perfect example for the fan editing community of what the film could be.

Re: NEW! Super Mario Bros. - The 20th Anniversary Re-edit

Agreed. Joe Satriani's "Speed of Light," paired with a visual recap of the Mario Bros. adventure is just a more spirited way to cap the film off. I really like how you've incorporated that into your new cut.

Glad to see a better quality cut being made. The film just watches better when the picture is as good as it can get. Combining that with a recut should do wonders for the experience.

As Redstar's brother I can attest to having completely shit-stomped him at Double Dash!!, but he got better after a few playthroughs. I still ended up doing most of the work and unlocked all of the new tracks, characters and karts.

Re: Wreck-It Ralph

I watched it for the first time at home a couple weeks ago. It was good, but the moment the act of "going Turbo" was mentioned I put two-and-two together and realized that it would be important to the plot. Because of that, King Candy reveal as Turbo wasn't a complete surprise. Still, ...

Wind Waker was the first Zelda game I actually enjoyed playing. I ended up selling it once I beat it, but soon came to regret that decision. It was so good that I decided to re-buy it, which only goes to show that I'd be willing to get this HD remake as well. I just hope the experience is improved e...

Re: Webcomic - THE MARIO WORLD (sequel)

All this talk of Birdo and no mention of the Shy Guy? That's a solid design right there! Very cybernetic/cyberpunk. The broken dialogue and clockwork key suggest the Shy Guy "priests" might be brainwashed by Wart, so if Mario & Luigi can find a way to free them we might just find ourse...

I would have to say that Thor was the weakest in terms of story, although it made up for that with the great characterization of Loki as well as the costume design for the Asgard.

Great Movie Night Waiting To Happen This movie is a real treat. It's not something you can just watch on your own, but with family or a small group of friends I can guarantee that you'll have a good time. Everything about this movie is just FUN. It's kind of cheesy, yes, but behind that there's a l...
