Re: Official FAN-SCREENPLAY thread! Now with Character Profi
The only problem with it is you're working on it almost 20 years too late. If you were able to do this back in 1990/91, then Bob, John, and Dennis would today have nothing but fond memories of their roles, and Super Mario Bros. would have won an Oscar for Best Screenplay. Wait, what? Why would the ...

Here's some more from the beginning of the outline I'm writing... The figure is dressed in a red-leather overcoat and a cheap eighties-suit underneath, his hair is white, in dreadlocks, and he has sunglasses masking his eyes. He's not paying attention to the Mario Bros, though. He's pressing a butto...

Perhaps I should take a break and list my credentials. First, I'm good friends with a one Bret Urick , writer of The Wall Analysis at http://www.thewallanalysis.com . We've been contacting each other through emails for a few years with ideas about Pink Floyd's album, and last year I mentioned Evang...

Re: The Wall vs. Evangelion (ACen 2015) concept
I'm sorry, I've just never seen the point in AMVs, putting songs to anime and trying to make some sort of connection.
Actually, somebody showed me the whole 'The Dark Side of the Moon,' put to 'The Wizard of Oz,' and I just didn't see it.
The term Apophenia comes to mind.

Hey, everybody! I'm starting to work on the Story Outline, which will become the basis for the screenplay. I thought I'd give you a little taste, with the outline I've written of the opening scene... The film opens with a quote: “Sometimes being a brother is better than being a superhero.†~ Mar...

He voiced Dr. Robotnik on The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (not SatAM). Strangely, his Robotnik voice is exactly what I'd imagine Bowser to sound like. Sadly, he died in 2005 or so... Personally, I think you should have the late, lamented Long John Baldry as Koopa. Seriously, whenever I imagine Bowser/Koopa, I imagine Baldry's voice coming out of the creature's mouth (can you say " I HATE THAT PLUMBEEEEERRRRRRR !!!!!"?) And throw in Rick Moranis or even Eddie Deezen as...

Re: My version of the '91 draft Now with profiles.
This is just me speaking from experience, but it's usually best to get all the writing for the outlines/profiles/screenplay done before doing any concept art, for two reasons: One, the concept art is fun to do, but it's distracting and can take you way off track of your writing. Two, if you have all...
