I don't think you really need to read the book "The Stand" to understand the mini-series. The book is 1300 pages of exposition. I think out of the ninety something chapters in it, I really only enjoyed one chapter, and it was a part that wasn't in the mini-series, and it didn't even need t...

I was raised catholic, I've celebrated Christmas for decades, but recently I found out that I'm Jewish by descent on my mother's side. My great-grandmother was a Kabbalistic Jew in Hungary. Her daughter and my mother and therefor me, are all Jewish according to the Torah.

So we're all still here as of 3:36 in my time area...anyone surprised? I didn't think so. It would be nice to see the world end within my lifetime, but this version just wasn't realistic enough for me. Define "end." Do you mean end as in the end of living, physical existence and oblivion?...

Ugh, I just got back from "The Hobbit," it was THREE HOURS LONG, the first of a trilogy of three hour movies and I didn't understand any of it. I kept turning to my brother and asking "Why are they doing this?" And he'd try to explain and I'd nod, then think and ask "right, ...

I'm just leery, because they're already planning on remaking "The Brave Little Toaster" in CGI and making the character of Radio into an iPod. I don't need that happening to the greatest movie ever made. I couldn't care much less about the games, I really haven't played a Mario game since ...

Either way, there's no way I'm going to sit through a two hour movie featuring Charles Martinet as most of the voices and probably includes Waluigi as a character, despite the fact that Waluigi isn't a character, but an abomination.

"Mr.Satan" Lmao im glad they changed it to Hercule in the Usa version. Only on the TV dub. The home video releases still refer to him as "Mister Satan." However, according to the guy who created DBZ, "Hercule Satan" is his stage name-- his real name is "Mark."

The Hobbit... they somehow took a one hundred and twenty page book with an extremely simple story and made three three hour movies out of it. I could read the book in less than three hours, which is a third of the run time of the "trilogy."
