Re: What made you think differently?

Hmm, I don't know if I'd go so far as to compare "Super Mario Bros." to "The Toxic Avenger," though in a way they are sort of similar in their silliness. However, I think Mario Bros. takes itself a whole lot more seriously than the Toxic Avenger films. But I think that since I'd ...

Re: Sequel Idea: SUPER MARIO BROS 2. THE RETURN OF KOOPA

I like the idea of introducing the other Kooplings, but when I wrote my own fan-screenplay, it came out a little convoluted because I featured all of them as covert ops spies in the first act, which was entirely set in New York and lasted about 55 pages. Though I like where you're headed with it. Th...

I kind of liked it better the other way... I mean, the green skin and scales makes more sense in theory, but in the movie, the reptiles are almost completely human. But, it's your project and you can do whatever you want. Just don't be like George Lucas and change things every five minutes.

Re: Who Censored Roger Rabbit? - Novel/Film Discussion

I've read that Gary Wolf liked the movie so much that when he wrote the sequel to the novel he opted to continue the film's version of events. Sort of. The sequel " Who P-P-P-Plugged Roger Rabbit ?" pretty much ignores the events of the novel, except that it mentions the events of "W...

Who Censored Roger Rabbit? - Novel/Film Discussion

Bob Hoskins has been in 'loose' adaptations before "Super Mario Bros." Take for instance the 1981 pulp crime novel Who Censored Roger Rabbit? by Gary Wolf . http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2758/4487455445_ef54ed437c.jpg It was adapted seven years later as "Who Framed Roger Rabbit,"...
