Were either of you even born in the 80s? I wasn't even born until late 1987, I have little to no recollection of the 1980s other than it was full of hair-feathering freaks who had poor taste in music.

Re: Cracked: If Stupid Movies Were Remade as Oscar Bait

Super Mario Bros. was shortlisted for a special effects Oscar, but Disney lobbied hard to have A Nightmare Before Christmas entered into that category. As at the time only three films could be eligible per category this pushed Super Mario Bros. out. That's odd that they would go out on a limb for a...

Am I the only one who thinks SMB is sort of like Bizarro fiction, except not nearly as trashy? I do remember an idea I had when I was 11 called Space-Ific ocean which was about a submarine that finds a portal into space. Basically the R-rated goodness would mostly come from the aliens attacking the...

The Official Thread of Bizarro Fiction

As some of you may already know, I'm an aspiring writer of the new literary wave called "bizarro" fiction. Basically, it's just really trashy horror and sci-fi thrown into absurdist philosophy and surreal imagery. Think of taking two completely unrelated things and putting them together......

I'm also considering writing a physical letter in longhand and mailing it to Disney as that might ...

an interesting question is: Just how big is Dinohatton anyway? According to one of the early scripts, it's roughly the size of Manhattan, but Koopa says that because they're living in a "sub-dimension" the air 100 miles outside the city begins to thin, and that there's nothing out there b...

De-evolution is basically just mutation, anyway. It reverts life to a "simpler form," not necessarily the original form from with it came from. Like the Goombas are mutants who have been genetically altered to act in a primitive way-- loyal, lethal and stupid. Then again, the "Goomba&...

A rival is not a carbon copy. Fat Cat Franklin is more of an original character than a Mario character, now, what with the WarioWare series. He doesn't even really wear the purple and gold anymore. Now he sort of dresses like a female drag queen. Which is fine, if you're into that sort of thing.

I don't know why everyone has this preconceived notion that Mario and Princess Toadstool are an item. Mario is not dating Peach, no matter how heavily it's implied, it simply is not. Mario has been dating a girl named Pauline since 1981, when he rescued her from a rogue and untamed Donkey Kong. Now,...
