Re: Putting the events of the games in chronological order
If it's published by Nintendo, it's canon.
If it's not, then it isn't. Pretty simple stuff.

Re: Putting the events of the games in chronological order
Same thing with Koopa. He's the same as Bowser. Remember, he's still called Koopa in Japan (or was for a while). And he's always been Bowser here (cartoons and such aside). Im not trying to stir things up with you guys, i just thought this would be an interesting subject to talk about on here. The ...

I definitely am, and hope I'm lucky enough to get a review copy. It looks more action-y than some of the other Mario Parties, in a way, and I love some of the retro stuff-- that Koopa-shell/bridge/Goomba thing in particular.

Pretty early on... having her name changed fully to "Princess Peach Toadstool" made it feel much more appropriate, to be sure.

When it comes to the way the looked, some people dont seem to realize that films cannot look 100% like thie source material. Like for example in the X-men movie Wolverine did not have his trademark yello spandex suit from the comics. That's a good comparison. Some things that look good on paper or ...

Perhaps, perhaps, but that's another point entirely. I'm just talking about their "iconic appearance," as the point was made, and that it could probably have been done a LOT sooner. Personally speaking, I don't know if it's come from numerous rewatchings or just being a Mario nut, but I fe...

Re: Why I understand some points Mario fans are TRYING to ma
Just to play devil's advocate, they could have had Mario and Luigi use their coveralls to investigate Scapelli's tampering with the digging site, which was pretty early on, and had them wear the costumes from there. The only problem then would be the night club scene, which could probably be gotten ...

Re: Video Game Adaptations 'Worse' Than SMB
Street Fighter The Movie (Van Damme) was a poor attempt to take the characters and place them in a James Bond like storyline, but it was still an entertaining movie in my opinion, Raul Julia gave a good performance as M.Bison. It was interesting how some SF fans complained that he physically did no...

Plus Captain N, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Garfield and Friends...
Much as I loved the 80's, I have a difficult time separating it from the 90's-- the early 90's, at the very least-- because so much of what I was into bled over.

Continuing the trend of screwing with everything the video game previously established, Goombas are 8-feet tall and act like high-functioning alcoholics, the actual King of the Dinosaurs is a massive fungus It should be noted that the Goombas in the original Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2 a...

Maybe have him visit classic locations like, Peach's Castle, Isle Delfino, and maybe THE REAL WORLD!!! I think Mario's been living (in the current games canon) in the Mushroom Kingdom so long he's completely forgotten about Brooklyn, Pauline and Donkey Kong. Brooklyn, maybe, but Pauline a...

Re: "Nintendo Ready to 'Re-Think' Zelda"
I find it odd that the original NES games are an alternate timeline when I always figured those came first in the timeline since they were the first games. Poor Link has to be getting tired of being reincarnated only to fight Ganon again lol. Nah; after Zelda II, LttP was stated to be Link and Zeld...

Re: The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! Discussion
I have it all, and love it. I liked The Super Mario Bros. Super Show best when they weren't doing parodies and pop-culture references as the plot of an episode, with but a few exceptions. The live-action stuff, I enjoyed as a kid, though not as much as the cartoon. But my wife and I found ourselves ...

Re: Amazon/IMDb Scores -- Ratings for a Re-Release
Mine is being processed. I gave it four stars, not just because-- while I love the movie, I know it's not the greatest thing ever made-- but also because of the quality of the product, such as the iffy widescreen and lack of extras. Here is the text of my review: The Super Mario Bros. movie is an in...

Re: Mario vs. Sonic, or: Do Great Minds Think Alike?
But Sonic and Mario never think alike. If they did, a cross-over platforming game would have been done years ago due to it's simplicity. But because of the difference between their focuses and playing styles would mean a cross-over would be possible, but would be a minefield to blend together well....
