That's pretty cool. Pool games are something I don't experience that often but I should give that one a shot if I ever see it for cheap. And it looks like Star Fox Adventures has yet to be mentioned in this thread! I just started a new game on my Wii in Progressive Scan/16:9 and it's truly an amazin...

Re: NSMBU and NSMB2
The bad thing about this series is that once I rush through my first playthrough, I get kind of bored with it. It's like there's too much work involved in finding the secret ways to unlock levels rather than the levels being challenging in and of themselves. I thought the Galaxy series did a great j...

Re: What's your LEAST favorite Mario game?
While I enjoyed Super Mario 64, it didn't truly feel like a Mario game to me until I played the DS remake. And I've really got to give Super Mario Sunshine another shot. It's strange and quirky and sometimes doesn't fit the Mario gameplay in a traditional sense--but sometimes it feels like it fits p...

We are saddened to announce that Super Mario Bros. producer Jake Eberts has passed away today at the age of 71. Site staff Steven Applebaum had personally spoken to him over the phone some time ago. Re: Super Mario Bros. Movie Podcast Episode
I too appreciate you guys posting the episode for us to evaluate. One thing that I wanted to mention is the Princess To...

Re: "It's popular, so it sucks"
No, no, no. In deleted scenes, you see that Old Biff actually faded from existence when he arrives back in 2015, much like Marty would have done if he hadn't set things straight in the original film. One of the writers said that Lorraine probably shot Biff around 1994, and that if Doc and Marty had ...

I've never really enjoyed anything from McFarlane--although most everyone I talk to loves his shows. As for the other comments, I've gotta throw my two cents in: Back to the Future Part II was very weak despite the clever time-twisting it executed, while only The Empire Strikes Back can be considere...

Re: Modern Sequel Thoughts
But how many people outside of the gaming/Mario community really know who Wario is, let alone care? He's a widely used character, sure, but nowhere near as iconic as Mario's other villains Bowser and Wart. I could see him used as a secondary villain, but not as a primary antagonist. I'd wager a gue...

I'm hoping the Gold Nunchuk gets back in stock, now that I have enough points for it thanks to my recent 3DSXL purchase.
And while I'm in the thread, I'm really enjoying NSMB2 so far. Although I'm not 100% on this yet, it may be my favorite in the NSMB series.

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 3?
I agree. Nintendo needs the time to figure out how to make a Mario game for the WiiU that shows us exactly why the WiiU is a fresh, innovative system.
The only problem is that I'd make a wager that we won't see this game until the WiiU has already been out for 1-2 years.

^I would absolutely love a full release of the score. Having said that, I do own the bootleg and it's not bad IMO. We do get that extended length "Suite from Super Mario Bros." which is just beautiful. And of course--it's loads better than the subpar sound on the DVD.

Yes that's true, but that still makes her somewhat of a villain. Everything you would use Peach for in that way would be better served in another character. And you would almost have to figure out a way to make her Mario's love interest because that's a given with her character, even at an archetypa...
