Re: Njutafilms Swedish DVD

The standard DVD plays at a different rate than the Swedish one as well. It's all to do with the framerate standards for NTSC/PAL/etc. I can definitely tell the difference when I watch either version. Most versions other than the USA release seem "sped up" and the soundtrack has a slightly...

Re: Site Overhaul Discussion

I also updated all of the "main" pages for each category, and updated the text, removing pages that don't exist yet and adding in things that we've since updated with. I also noticed a bug where we had incorrectly linked "fan video" so now it works on the main page as well. So NO...

Re: Site Overhaul Discussion

The problem is that for the pages that aren't up yet, most of the information is stuff I have, and most of the merchandise, etc. are things that I have that I would need to scan and prepare, etc. So even if we did have help, the amount of prep work I would have to do before I handed it off to someon...

Re: Njutafilms Swedish DVD

I have the Swedish version, I bought it directly from the Njutafilms website, I think. They had it listed there and everything. As far as the USA DVD goes, I think it's probably a higher-quality transfer (re: Disney) but it's on a lower resolution, non-anamorphic format. The Swedish version is likel...

You think you're going to find articles online comparing Super Mario Bros. movie DVDs? Someplace that's not on this website or forum? That's why you haven't found anything :) I don't think there are any major changes in the film itself. The deal with this release is that it's the best quality anamor...

Re: Film Project I Want To Happen

You're not alone in having this idea. I've thought many times that something like this could be extremely cool if there's a story to back it up. It's just not commercial to do it--if some independent filmmaker started it, and then maybe got famous, and was able to get enough resources to bring the w...

That is just completely awesome. Not only is the font correct, but I love the "bolts" with the extended drop shadow that you have in the corners. Could have ripped that right out of '93. :)

Yesterday, we played two more boards: Board Observations: Magma Mine was a bit disappointing. Although the volcanic environment was great to look at, there's a gameplay hitch. Okay, so I got my hands on a copy yesterday. So far, I love it. My wife and I played two boards (the Toad one and Bob-Omb factory). The "all players in one car" concept works really well and keeps the game moving. It's definitely not as sluggish feeling as some of the other MP games in ter...

Well, I failed. It seems as if the Wal-Marts here in North Carolina just aren't as friendly/helpful as the ones back in East TN. I ended up going to two--one had no one around electronics at all, and at the other one, the guy there said that he's worked there for 8 years, and games "always come...

I just had this thought today: Yes, Koopa is a big germophobe. However, what if part of this is because he doesn't want any fungus to get on him? We know that the king/fungus is sentient, so it would make sense that Koopa is always trying to make sure he's sanitized so fungus can't get on him and hu...

I love, love, loved the Super Show. The game characters at the time didn't have a whole lot of characterization and I liked how, although stereotypical, they gave Mario/Luigi/Princess/Toad character traits. Like how Mario is brave and always hungry and Luigi is always a coward but finds strange, cle...

It really is pretty laughable--it just plays into the fact that Luigi gets shafted by Nintendo.

Still, he's getting his own game here in a couple of months :)

I haven't played it in years, but I remember thinking it was just okay. It's definitely much better than Mariokart Wii, however. The two-player kart setup is pretty unique.
