Re: Non-official reviews (Video and Text)

I did a little edit at the top, adding this new video review in: Cat Hat Reviews: Super Mario Bros. Comments: Simply awesome review. He makes a lot of good points and comparisons, reviewing both sides of why people like or dislike the movie. And then he puts all of the SMB Movie haters in their plac...

Re: Official Deleted Scenes Thread

I recently had dinner with a friend of mine, we were talking about the movie and he said that he'd seen it in theaters twice. Once in the regular theater, the second in a drive-in theater, and both times, they had the now-lost "de-evolution" sequence where Koopa obliterates some guy into ...

Re: The submarine on 3-D

There's just a level to it of how that kind of technology should be utilized. Pixar movies are one thing. Video games are another. But why make a movie where everyone is lifelike and NOT use real actors? I just don't see the advantage of trying so hard to replicate what can be so easily obtained by....

Re: The submarine on 3-D

Yeah, I've been a bit confused by Zemeckis lately. I haven't seen his Christmas Carol, but I'm sure it's better than the other mo-cap films he's done. I also heard that he's doing another Roger Rabbit using the technology.

DeVito could have done a terrific job; he puts his soul into every character he portrays.

Having said that, I wouldn't trade Bob Hoskins for anyone. Sure, he loathes the movie to this day, but I gotta like the guy all the more for doing it.

I've always meant to see Speed , but still haven't. I saw Shutter Island . It was good; I even liked the ending. I'm a sucker for Scorsese flicks. And Leonardo. Just wait until Christopher Nolan's Inception, guys. I also just finished watching the newest DC Universe animated feature, Justice League:...

Re: Little things you notice...

Phlibb needs to write up a definitive review of the movie highlighting all its accomplishments, as well as its downfalls (yet in a fair manner) that we can link to at the ready. In fact, the (soon-to-be) list of references would be enough to shut up anyone. You know, I always kind of thought I shou...

That jacket is/was being sold by one of Jeff Goodwin's friends; I had the first option of buying it before she put it up for auction. It was a tad on the pricey side though, and I never saw it on eBay myself, not sure whatever happened to it.

Re: Marioblaster's Devo Gun, Bob Ombs, and more...

Actually, I think I read somewhere that the directors didn't even want them to have overalls or the jumpsuits at all-thought they looked stupid or didn't fit or something. Luckily, someone called BS on it. The scene where they find the suits is most certainly one of the film's best scenes.

Re: Seen any good movies lately?

I had the opportunity to see Avatar in IMAX 3D, and it was really great. Like UE5000 said, compared to the Star Wars prequels, it's a much better film in terms of a complete package, story, etc. It's not something I would put in my top 5 films of all time by any means, but it's good for what it is--...

Based on the period of Solomon's involvement and the date on the script, it should somewhat resemble the film we got. However, it may b...

Change that sprite sheet up there to a .PNG file (or BMP) and I should be able to help you. Because that's the default color for transparency/invisibility i...
