Re: Mario Live Action Vid
I do in fact plan on having the classic elements of the game world such as power-ups and enemies. Although they will all be represented satirically or in an otherwise comedic manner. I have a goomba prop and most of a koopa troopa. Bowser is going to have to be some really garbagey costume effect tho.

Re: Mario Live Action Vid
Yeah, the audio was a huge problem. My camera's mic is garbage. We may actually just have to dub over the whole thing with a microphone. But yeah, the opening was just an explanation of how they get to the mushroom kingdom from brooklyn. (Wario bought their house, their mother, and then kicked them ...

Some footage that was supposed to go into my finished idea. The Koopas of course look ridiculous, this was moreso for fun. We're going to reshoot every clip with a koopa in it for the final cut.

Re: MY SMB 2010 remake
Just one complaint... Please don't go with the firey aura-power-up sequence. Please... This might just be my personal preference speaking, but I am getting really sick of the Mario anime references appearing every.

edited together a pic of Danny Devito and some other things to get an idea for what he would look like in the role.

Character profiles Mario: height: 5' 7" weight: 150 lbs hair: brown eyes: brown appearance: relatively short when compared to other characters. A gentle face with a curly mustache. His build is not quite athletic, but his strength and agility are supernatural. Personality: Happy. Carefree. Brav...

Obligatory fan-movie topic
So yeah. I also had an idea. Well... I had an idea years ago that has evolved dramatically. I want to make a series of live action shorts set to music. Mostly remixes of game music. Most of all, i want it t be fun. Fun for the actors, fun for the director, and of course fun for the viewer. I want it...

Don't know if anyone heard, but Lou Albano died this week. In memory of him, i threw together this fake poster for a movie akin to the 91 draft of the script.

If a new movie were to be made, it's far too late for a sequel, what would you like to see in a reboot? What elements would you incorporate from recent games, would you do it as an origin story or a stand alone story, would you go the route that paramount took in 1993 or go for a more literal interp...

Re: Official 2/17/09 FAN-SCREENPLAY thread!
I love the bit of Koopa devolving and mutating himself into Bowser. Also, adding Wario was a cool cliffhanger at the end. Just a minor thing. I don't think he should already have his purple and gold costume. I mean, Mario only picked his up later in the story. Maybe for the beginning, Wario has a re...

Re: The Official 3/25/92 Script Thread--Updated 3/24/09
I love how the characters have evolved from the '91 script and through this one, up to the script that was used. I love how Big Eddie became Eddie Scapelli, who later evolved into Anthony Scapelli, the corrupt businessman of the final movie. I'm glad in the finished cut, it was scapelli's goons that...

Re: Enter the Mushroom Kingdom Revival!
i have to say, that is a pretty dang dark view of the Mario mythos. I mean, yikes. But, it's also a very creative and new approach. Instead of being the hero by heart who valiently dashes in to save the day, Mario has an even heavier "everyman" feel. He's got problems, issues and weaknesse...

Thanks for the compliment!
I know it's pretty sketchy in the linework, but I was really trying to get across the "realist" and the "dreamer" vibe given to the bros
Next, i might try to interpret some other characters' appearances

That's a pretty impressive Idea. I love the idea of the base's codename being SUBCON. It'd be really cool if you could think of something for that to be an anagram for.
I'd love to see any concept art you've come up with.

Re: The Official 7/17/91 Script Thread--Updated 1/21/09
I read the script today, I loved it. I would love to see it made, even in just a fan-film rendition. But I see why it wasn't used. It's a bit too outlandish for most audiences. We love it here, because we love the games, and because this script follows the games very closely. Anywho, I drew some art...
