If you look carefully at the wall in the Goomba barracks when Mario rescues the Brookyln girls, you can see an englarged version of the Goomba concept art. There is also a sign that says "Walk tall! Be proud! Become a Goomba." I actually saw that and I was suprised to see it in the concept.
