Re: The First Rebel, an SMB Prequel
"thousands" of "giant" hammers seems an impossibility. Well it was explained that Mark took serious expirementation while in the labs. I tried to make the hammers giant so they wouldn't become useless when Mark turns into a monster. Other than that, I also liked tihs chapter. It...

Re: The Official Thread of Bizarro Fiction
Am I the only one who thinks SMB is sort of like Bizarro fiction, except not nearly as trashy? I do remember an idea I had when I was 11 called Space-Ific ocean which was about a submarine that finds a portal into space. Basically the R-rated goodness would mostly come from the aliens attacking the ...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't "Super Mario Bros." shortlisted for Oscars for best set-design and best make-up? It lost to Jurassic Park that came out that year. :| I remember it being nominated for a saturn award but not an oscar.I certainly don't remember it losing to Jurassic Park...

Re: The Jerry Lewis Thread
Eddie Murphy's Nutty Professor is way better. Well it really depends because they're both different versions. Lewis' version is a goofy odball picture that has better humor, whereas the Murphy version has more heart into it and is a more emotional story. I consider it a more down to earth version o...

Re: 7/17/91 (Fantasy--Jennewein/Parker) Script Discussion
You know when re-reading this script I actually imagined Danny Devito's voice as Mario, Micheal J. Fox's voice as Luigi, and Jim Cummings voice as Koopa in an animated adventure that's rated PG. For my vision here would be my casting choice. Mario: Danny Devito Luigi: Micheal J. Fox Toad: Judd Nelso...

Re: Wario
A rival is not a carbon copy. Wario is more of an original character than a Mario character, now, what with the WarioWare series. He doesn't even really wear the purple and gold anymore. Now he sort of dresses like a female drag queen. Which is fine, if you're into that sort of thing. First of all,...

Um, but that would be betraying the intent of Wario. He was supposed to be the opposite of Mario, hence his name Wario. I find the clothes changes you offer a bit much, it's as if your butchering the character.

Re: Pauline Discussion & Other "Shippings"
I too have a little problem with this MarioXPeach thing. First of all, Mario is mainly a guard. He protects the princess or saves her from evil. That's what a soldier and/or guard does. So it only seems fitting that they have no romance. It's Mario's job to save her, not because he likes her. And ev...

Well fanboy is the typical term. Also, it sounded like you hated NC for just one review out of more than a hundred. That's a pretty sad excuse for your hate.
