Re: Lupin the 3rd
I read a while ago that DiC wanted to produce a series called Lupin VIII for a Japanese/American/European audience, and even got as far as a "pilot," but the estate of Arsene Lupin's creator cried foul. DiC shuttered production on Lupin , but Inspector Gadget came from its ashes...or at le...

Re: The Unproduced Screenplay Thread
I have an unproduced script for Doctor Who: The Time Lord written by Johnny Byrne, George Dugdale, and Peter Litten. In the aftermath of the show's cancellation in 1989, there were many attempts to jump-start the property. One of these was a BIG-BUDGET, MULTI-MILLION-DOLLAR MOTION PICTURE to be prod...

If copyright wasnt such an issue id suggest having one of the orginal Ghostbusters mentor or keep in touch with the Japan based team, Egon or Ray would be perfect for that role. What I find most interesting is that Disney was able to license characters from Nintendo, which must have taken a lot of negotiating and bargaining. So far we've only seen Bowser, which is a great addition, but I'm very curious if Mario or at least other characters from the property will make appea...

WIth a brain as big as mine, it's hard to stay on one thing. I have all sorts of concepts and ideas floating around; sometimes I actually have the willpower to hunker down and get them to paper. Well, UE5K, there hasn't been an adaptation so far that's REALLY close to the book. About the only four very important and well-known adaptations I can count offhand are: the 1939 original, The Wiz , Return to Oz , and Tin Man . The one thing Sonic (the game) has over Mario (the game), IMO, is the rings mechanic. I was always a bit surprised with Mario in that it didn't matter how many coins you had, you died with only one hit.

I think of Shadow the Hedgehog as a parody of the GTA/third person-shooter genre. Just don't ask me to star in a "movie" of the screenplay. I only say this because a character named Pauline is in it; I'll probably mess it up by saying "PAW-leen" instead of "paw-LEEN." I watch too much Channel 11.

The problem with the Star Wars films and revisiting them is that they are not actually Lucas' work. They're the product of contributions from his wife and friends in the film industry (including directors famous in their own right). Because of them, the films became much more strong and character-d...
