Re: The Spirituality of "Super Mario Bros."

It's because the Christians don't believe God would have a reason for using Evolution when he can make humans out of entirely new material. That and the fact that the bible they blieve in clearly states that humans were made by God and not evolution. There's also a misunderstanding about the nature...

Ahehheh...you miss my point. It's a real art installation...saw it in my Art Appreciation textbook six years ago. In fact, I'm headed back to Moraine Valley in a few weeks for classes, and I'll make a point of asking my former instructor about it (if she's still there). When I find out what it's cal...

Anyhoo, back to Creepypasta...There's an art installation somewhere of a dining room. Spaceballs isn't actually all that funny, IMO. As a Mel Brooks comedy, it's fairly scattershot and something of a mess. Unfortunately, I've only seen that and Young Frankenstein , so it's a bit hard to judge the humor of all of his films. All I can say is, YF is by far the funnier because even witho...

I find that when you're creating characters you have to at least give them some of your own characteristics and life experience. Trying to write for a character who has absolutely nothing in common with his/her writer is just going to be a dull pain in the ass to write for! And yes, there does have ...

Total Rekall , however, is largely the same as the original, though is distancing itself by removing Mars as the center locale. Oh, good! That means Colin Farrell won't go "ARGH ARGH ARGH" in Mars' vacuum, like Arnie did in the original. That is the main reason why you will never see me s...

I heard a few days ago that the CW4KIDS block is going to be replaced with the Saban Vortexx block. Why do I get the feeling that CW4KIDS has been playing Sonic X ad nauseam as a way of making people so sick of it that they'll be glad it's not on anymore? And FWIW, I liked Sonic X. Re: Official Plot Holes/Goofs/Inconsistencies Thread

The reason the king's revival is a plot hole is because they never explain how the king got re-evolved. There was no beam of light or any indication that someone used the Devo gun on him, in fact no one seemed to be there when the King was revived. So how could be the king re-evolved if he wasn't s...

Yes, well, you have to forgive the fan-character creators. They're just starting out, and it's practice (and wish-fulfillment). Every failed character is a stepping-stone to something a bit more fine-tuned. Honestly, one can't just get it perfect right off the bat. I myself had an idea for a fan cha...

Someone (Serum, I think) posted in the Italian Cut thread that the King's revival and "Love those plumbers" comment is a plot hole. My question is, in what way? As a fungus blob, the King is shown to be at least aware of what's going on. Take, for example, the scene where the Bob-omb drops...

Dennis Hopper's un-made-up visage as Koopa does make sense if you think about it. He is, after all, Number One On Top(TM), and those who are Number One On Top tend to make themselves look as beautiful as possible as a contrast to the s#!t-covered masses they're trampling.
