Re: PETA making a fuss about the Tanooki Suit

I was under the impression that PETA stood for " P eople for the E ating of T asty A nimals." In which case, I've been a member for years. Oh, haven't we all? I have no issue with respecting animals and treating them well before their consumption, but I also feel that it's the natu...

I stopped playing the "Mario Party" games after "Mario Party 2." I had "Mario Party 3" for awhile, but I traded it in as I hated it so much, particularly because of the inclusion of the 'character' of Waluigi-- I don't even consider Waluigi a real Mario character. I mi...

Interesting. I can't turn up any info other than what's shown on the Amazon page, so I will have to (unfortunately) say that it's probably just a mistake. I do know that some of the foreign releases include a special feature or two, though I believe it's all on one disc. However, just a week ago the...

They're not exactly the most original interpretations of the games, but the do seem to follow the basic archetypes that lend towards a strong hero arc. The early games were simply made for such an interpretation and I think we saw it done mostly well in the Jennewein/Parker script. The important thi...

Excellent work, Wesr. I like how you're incorporating symbology from the games into the aesthetic of the boot while still maintaining the overall concept. It helps that the Thwomp and crossed hammers are both already used in the film, albeit in different places and slightly different designs. Be sur...

Re: "Nintendo Ready to 'Re-Think' Zelda"

I personally like the idea behind a split timeline. It's a fascinating concept for any media, though particularly for the constantly re-inventive video game. What I would like to see, however, is each timeline explored with different themes and gameplay mechanics. Really play up two different worlds.

Good to hear. Just be sure to draft all your future chapters and it'll make the actual writing much easier. A movie's success is usually always determined by how much money it made or is now making. Many films that did poorly, but are cult classics that *now* make money were just "misunderstood" or "undermarketed." In such cases you always have people who worked on those films saying h...

It's better to draft out each chapter with the main plot points and character interactions so that you only need to write through it once before doing a final edit. Kotaku just did a defense of PETA's statements which I fully agree with. This is probably a gross generalization, but I believe it would be fair to say that 95% of the film was shot in Wilmington. Much of it took place on the town streets and in the Ideal Cement Factory. All the establishing shots depicting New York and the Brooklyn Bridge were shot by David Snyder in Ne...
