Re: Wario/Waluigi Film Concept

I'm also apprehensive about the inclusion of Waluigi since he's largely a gimmick character created solely to give Luigi an unneeded opposite. He's appeared in no actual game that would provide some sort of justification of his character. However, I'm open to the idea of him having validity, and a f...

True. He did play a fairly dramatic and dickish role in King Kong. If he played it up he could play a suitable Jennewein/Parker Mario.

The ice tunnel scene does have some pretty rockin' music, but it's so. damn. slow . Some cuts would drastically speed it up, but it's still otherwise a fun scene. And you're right: the "dancing Goomba" scene really is very memorable. Funny, for an idea that was completely improvised. :P I ...

A lot of the kids that were there jumped & screamed when Koopa became that T-rex (It was actually freaky seeing that for the first time in a theater, especially as a young 4 year old) Don't remember much else, only half the people there stayed the whole movie, as it was removed from the theater...

This is amazing, jka12002. Showing only the eyes create an entire mood for the "sequel" without revealing any specifics. It's an awesome concept which I'd actually love to see translated into a mock-up sequel poster sometime. Think you could do that? :)

Re: WildWinger88's '91 Fantasy Script Poster Concept

Jack Black is an interesting choice for this particular version of Mario. While I think he could pull off a level-headed "Mario," the '91 script's version of Mario is just so gruff and hardened that it'd be a sore waste of Black's comedic talents. People expecting Black for his comedy woul...

I'm glad to hear Super Mario Land came into play for your concept of one of the sequels considering how well that game plays into Princess Daisy's presence in the original. That's an interesting idea. Almost a call-forward to what was done in Luigi's Mansion later on. The movie and early scripts did seem to either predict or influence concepts later explored in the games, so I could see the sequels doing things before the games actually did. :)

I actually like that as a tagline. However, it would be clever to have taglines slyly referencing ...

These are great concepts, Winger. While your casting choices are questionable, I could see them working rather well.
