Re: 1/3/11--Video Releases, Toys, Interviews!

What I'm curious about is whether someone from MEL or even one of the six Goomba actors did that role or if the commercial studio got someone else for it.

Re: Goomba Baracks Scene -- Comic Adaptation

Great comic, Carl. The style is just about how I'd imagine a comic adaptation of the movie to have looked: somewhat realistic and a bit darker-looking, but the same little visual gags the movie had. I like how the lizard-head Goomba looks more like a pinheaded-T. rex and has a more menacing, intelli...

Re: Recent idea ive been having for an SMB movie....

That's a fair enough motivation, though I hope to see you add some subtext to the interactions between the various characters. I think Vorton could be so much more, especially if there's implication of there having been more behind Bowser.

Re: Missing items/Enemies that should have been in the film

Its called Koopa's Devo-Stick: The Devo-Stick is kinda like a sci-fi take of the wands in Mario 3. The Devo-Stick is alot like the wand, its even white and has a jewel, but the Devo-Stick also has 2 features. Evovle and De-evovle. With this stick, not only can Koopa de-evovle things but he can also...

It's pretty funny that even here, among fans of the movie, we still get people bringing up (no, not complaining , just "mentioning") the fact that Leguizamo had a mustache during that interview. Personally, it never occurred to me until the last few seconds and even then I was only a littl...

Here is a quick update featuring some SFX work for a mario clip. Truck Driving SFX Shot Brief synopsis of scene. Mario and Luigi arrive to the "job" and pull into a driveway. They stop and get out. Runtime about 15 seconds. Sounds like an incredible amount of work for such a brief period ...

Good to hear you're so near completion. Cutting out the live-action segments is probably a good idea, if only to get this project done sooner. You can always do the segments as a new project in the future and insert them into this.

Daisy is possible, given her importance. Maybe Bertha, since she's... well, let's just say she's not remotely girly and would look like she could whoop any other action figure in the line's butt. I don't see why a Canadian airing of the movie would cut out the Twin Towers shot, especially since American networks have been depicting the Towers in film broadcasts without problem for the last few years. Besides, a one-second shot hardly constitutes a 13-minute runtime decrease.
