Re: Little things you notice...

Okay, seeing that just convinces me that SMB is the best video-game movie ever made! Some would argue that the SMB movie is only full of shout-outs and references while the move itself has no resemblance to the games, but this, as well as several other references, are just so specific you cannot den...

I haven't necessarily given up, though I am working on another project and recently started my next semester of school. Much of the reason I stopped working was because ultimate was going to send me what he'd done, and I didn't want to pester him over it. But, I was actually recently contacted by an...

Re: Official Publication Thread (Newspapers, Magazines, etc.

I'd like to put up some more references, but unfortunately my collection of magazines has run dry. I know there's at least one more reference in the Nintendo Power issues I own, but I already looked through like three times and couldn't find it. Maybe some day. I would recommend taking what you can ...

I was unaware they "switched off" their roles... I knew that Smith was considered for the role of Neo, but turned it down in favor of Wild Wild West. I happen to like that movie, actually. There were some memorable scenes (the magnetic neck braces and discs-of-death was a creative death-tr...

Yeah. Just have a script that when you grab a Stomper cart, your jump switches from jump1 to jump2, for example. Or, say, if you were doing a SMW hack, the Thwomp Stompers could graphically replace the Cape, but function the same way.

Re: This was most likey asked here alot but.....

I doubt it. It would have been really cool, but even with deleted scenes there'd be continuity error. If there were such scenes, they'd be so different as to basically be an alternate last 30 minutes. I seriously doubt such footage exists, except maybe in scraps.

I thought the very same thing. I'm sure they probably at least tried the games, but I'm not so sure they actually played them any more except for these photo shoots. Still good shots, though.

Spike's full name is "Spikeasaurus". I like that, I remember he Iggy saying that in the movie. I never noticed it myself, and was growing annoyed that the Mario wiki was saying it on Spike's article. They were also saying that Iggy's full name was "Iggysaurus"... So I pushed and...

Re: Why Koopa was human instead of a lizard (my theory)

I think casting Koopa as "human" was a stroke of genius. Really, it's hard to take a non-human villain seriously. If Koopa was visually based on the game version, then it would definitely have costume goofiness in moving the mouth, which would only contribute to the audience not taking him...

You came in saying "I have concept art!", not "I found art drawn by others which I feel perfectly captures the characters I'm writing". While you weren't necessarily lying, it could easily be construed as misleading.
