Re: Armored Hero 10X Horse Power!!!
I'd say accomplishing that would be about medium difficulty. I tried my hand at both Flash animation and Action Script, but in the end decided to stick with the only artistic expression I'm good at: writing. The farthest I ever went with AS was making buttons, anyways. Actually, it's possible to scr...

Re: Armored Hero 10X Horse Power!!!
Yeah, that forum has a big problem with procrastination. I was the head of a fan Flash game project, but it died. So did about every other project the forum attempted, as well as personal ones. But, if you have all of your side done, then I'm sure any one of the scripters could churn out a basic scr...

Re: Armored Hero 10X Horse Power!!!
If you're a decent animator, I know a forum of some of the best Flash scripters and animators there are. While most of them are now older and focusing on their jobs, if you like I can link you and you can register, posting your idea and maybe you'll get a nibble from one of the many scripters. I lik...

Re: My Christmas Project Idea...
Well, the problem is you have to do a little work to not make it look like crap. I wouldn't recommend gluing fabric to it, so you'll have to sew. As for a metallic shine, I thought it'd be simple and cheap to sew in a fabric frame over tin foil with a saran wrap or other clear wrapping cover to prev...

Re: My Christmas Project Idea...
I like the idea of a Thwomp Stomper socking. While a Kuribo's Shoe stocking is fairly creative, a Thwomp Stomper-themed one would be a lot more original. I have a few basic ideas how you could do it quickly, visually-pleasing, and, most importantly, cheap. If you're interested, just ask and I could ...

Re: SMB Fan-cut/edit
I know I want to establish a shot of a train to later be graphically-altered to resemble a Bullet Bill train, but where to get such footage I don't know. I know I want it to be an L train or a lifted train, such as the one found in Chicago, but that type of train isn't often seen in movies. It's usu...

You know, I never thought of it that way. His second line really does suggest that... I dunno. His first line has both that positive, as well as the negative I pointed out. It all depends on the audience, really, and what they interpret. From what I can tell, the original cut is good because it woul...

Re: SMB Fan-cut/edit
After watching Speed, it won't work. The Bullet Bill train fight scene will probably have to be discarded, so instead I'll be turning my sights on reconstructing Koopa's take-over Dinohattan as flashbacks. This should be relatively easy, and I'm finding lots of stuff that might work for both a young...

Re: My Fan Edition DVD of the Super Mario Bros movie
Bonus feature. It's fun, and done the best of your capabilities, but it just doesn't flow as well as it could. I don't think I'd be accepting of any such added scene unless it was basically animated "live-action". Besides, doesn't hurt to have more bonus features on the list.

Re: SMB Fan-cut/edit
lol. That's pretty cool. If you want, you can animate them over the end-credits. Be an interesting complement to have classic sprites at the beginning, and live-action based ones at the end. Right now I'm getting Judge Dredd and Speed. Judge Dredd has some more shots that could be used, such as Mega...

Re: SMB Fan-cut/edit
All joking aside, I like a lot of these ideas. However, there's a fine line between the intro credits being a nice, fun intro, and being way too busy for it's own good. I like having the SMB1 Mario sprite on there because of two reasons. One, he's wearing the red overalls. Two, it's one of the most...

Yeah you should use it. If anyway you should try to use the guy falling from the statue as Koopa falling. Somehow make ity work. Hey Redstar I don't think Im going to edit the SMW sprite in, it doesnt look right because of the limited frames. Man, I'm disappointed... Re: SMB Fan-cut/edit
Yeah, I considered that. But, as I mentioned before, the audio track and the soundtrack occupy the same channel so it's difficult to remove one without affecting the other. The two can be split, but I don't know how and don't have the software for audio work. So it's either replace it entirely, or s...

Re: SMB Fan-cut/edit
That does sound unbelievable. Hopefully you can get the fullest sprites there are, for walking and jumping, but if they're really that limited and it turns out not that good, then the original sprite works well enough. If they're equal, we can always put up a vote. I checked out Judge Dredd as you s...

Re: SMB Fan-cut/edit
Much better. I personally feel the SMW sprite would work better because it was the closest game to release, and Mario World sprites are used in the film. Re: SMB Fan-cut/edit
The SMW sprite would be perfect, as that was the most "recent" Mario game at the time of the film's release. Now that I think of it, would the Mario sprite be normal or Super Mario? Imagine him jumping up and hitting a block, and then the Super Mario Bros. title card comes up with the &qu...

That reminded me EXACTLY of the SMBSS opening. The whole "zoom in on a pixelated image of NYC" before entering the Mario's apartment. That part was great. And yeah, if possible, it would be neat to have a Mario sprite running into the background, jumping into an initially blank box--upon ...

Now that I think about it, it would probably be needless to have an Actor Profiles section. You should lean more towards what you were describing, since their characters are the focus, after all.
The profiles Zack just posted would also do well for such a section.

I think the archives could do with some profiles of the various actors from the film. 1.) Remove the god-awful animated-opening prologue, replacing it with a simple black screen showing the cast-credits, which then fades into the first scene of Daisy's mother. This allows us to figure things out on our own rather than being told, and starts the movie off on a more dark mood. Haha, i...

Re: SMB Fan-cut/edit
One of my biggest gripes with the movie is the terrible extras. The alien creatures are better in Star Wars. Like some people are made up to be reptilian and then the rest of people are just trashy looking normal humans. I always thought it was really weird how Simon was just a guy with a mustache....
