Re: Hostess Declares Bankruptcy, Sells Off Assets

The funny thing is that there are already so many generic versions of the Twinkie out there that it will be interesting to see which takes dominance to fill the void. I've already seen Little Debbie overstocked on shelves. http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/185jgtd19e5y1jpg/original.jpg Also, since Hos...

Hostess Declares Bankruptcy, Sells Off Assets

I'm sure most, if not all, of you have heard the news of Hostess (makers of such popular snack cakes as Twinkies, Ho-Hos and Sno Balls) declaring bankruptcy. All 33 factories were shut down, forcing nearly 19,000 people to be sent home and laid-odd. The recipes for their snack cakes are now being so...

I asked the Tumblr owner for any information on the scan, but he wasn't able to share much: Sadly I don’t have the original manga, but the person I got this from tells me that it is just a bunch of random drawings alongside other obscure Mario references like Mario Paint, Mario’s Picross, the Sa...

That is rather young. Hoskins, Hopper and many others on the cast/crew are even older. It's amazing how wide a young visionary's imagination can influence popular media.

Re: "The Evil Dead" Films

I watched the original The Evil Dead last night for the first time. It really is a straight horror-survival film with very little humor. The Evil Dead II also took quite a bit from it, so it's easy to see how the remake is essentially re-adapting both.

I think it's good to see a semi negative review because the movie can't be THAT good, cause they never are. I didn't hate the movie, nor do I feel that it's bad; it just didn't meet my expectations. It was much smaller scale than the trailers and promotional releases might lead you to believe. The ...

I remember reading sometime ago Nintendo had an idea of making Zelda set in a WWII era, does anyone recall this article? How would this play out in a Zelda game? I don't recall a WWII-era Zelda game ever being an actual premise, although I do know of the rumor for a future-set one in which Epona wo...

In my opinion the games should have stopped at Link To the Past, to me that was a good wrap up for the Zelda series. The games are kinda repetitive nowadays. What you call "repetitive" many other people call a formula that works. Nintendo is very good at developing a formula that lasts th...

How much would it cost to host an NYC or a Wilmington screening? If we can book it through Landmark Theatres again it would potentially be free. Through anyone else it could cost $300 for the print in addition to $500 or so for the rental fee, although that really depends on the theater. If they're...
