Re: Movies You're Anticipating

Bryan Cranston is really selling this reboot for a lot of people. We're very likely looking at a longrunning franchise, unlike the aborted '90s Emmerich effort.

Re: Calling All Fans! An Ideal Extended Cut

Considering what we now know about what was filmed and what wasn't I would have to agree. The film is long enough as it is that I can't personally justify re-inserting every scene just for the sake of our own enjoyment. Some of the deleted scenes (the Iggy and Spike rap scene included) would work mu...

I do agree that the ecology of the planet wouldn't allow for very large dinosaurs, but Yoshi very easily could have gotten at least a little larger. I'm very pleased that you enjoy the film's interpretation of Yoshi so much. I'm honestly surprised how many people dislike it considering how realistic...

I wonder why so many think Danny Devito would have been a good Mario? Must be based on looks alone, because while he's a good actor he seems to only play unpleasant characters. I really can't see him in the role, though I admitt he would have done better than Tom Hanks... People look at the squat d...

All versions of the script that we have are currently on the site itself.

Jim Jennewein apparently has an earlier draft of the fantasy script, but he never got around to sending it to us. We also have a few variations of the shooting script that don't merit posting as the differences are negligible.

I'm not sure if these constant comparisons to the Super Mario Bros. movie are positive or negative.

Surely it indicates something that the film is so embedded in pop culture that any slight film similarity reminds people of it.

The article says that the film was shot on and off over the past couple years with franchise regulars Angus Scrimm, Reggie Bannister, Michael Baldwin, Bill Thornbury and Kat Lester all returning.

Don Coscarelli is not directing the entry, although he did co-write and "oversaw" the film.

This company sometimes does region-free releases. Depends on the rights involved and whether they have the interest.

I do know that I promised myself that I would get a Blu-Ray player if the film ever came out on that format. Might as well make it a region-free player if I have to.
