Jim Jennewein apparently has an earlier draft of the fantasy script, but he never got around to sending it to us. We also have a few variations of the shooting script that don't merit posting as the differences are negligible.

I'm not sure if these constant comparisons to the Super Mario Bros. movie are positive or negative.

Surely it indicates something that the film is so embedded in pop culture that any slight film similarity reminds people of it.

The article says that the film was shot on and off over the past couple years with franchise regulars Angus Scrimm, Reggie Bannister, Michael Baldwin, Bill Thornbury and Kat Lester all returning.

Don Coscarelli is not directing the entry, although he did co-write and "oversaw" the film.

SlashFilm posted an article about the release of the Phantasm V trailer, which reminded me of this topic.

Hopefully it proves interesting to some of the fans who have discussed it in the past. Does it sound like a respectable continuation of the series?

This company sometimes does region-free releases. Depends on the rights involved and whether they have the interest.
