I've always enjoyed The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. The casting is good and the story a good reversal of the original novels. It certainly could have been much better executed, but I liked it. Solid film with true sequel potential.

Alternatively, you can look into RetroMags for a near complete back catalog of Nintendo Power. The collection probably has holes in it now, though, due to many files being lost once MegaUpload was taken down.

I'd wager a guess that at this point, many more gamers and non-gamers know who Wario is versus Wart. My perspective is that even non-gamers would know of Wart due to casually playing as kids during the NES/SNES era. They would thus remember Koopa and "that frog boss" from Super Mario Bros...
