Re: Wreck-It Ralph
What I find most interesting is that Disney was able to license characters from Nintendo, which must have taken a lot of negotiating and bargaining. So far we've only seen Bowser, which is a great addition, but I'm very curious if Mario or at least other characters from the property will make appea...

Re: "Ghostbusters Japan:" concept art and ephemera
I've always liked the concept of Ghostbusters "franchises," which they did really well in the cartoon series. A Japan-based team would allow for a lot of cool exploration of Japanese/Asian folklore and ghost stories, which are often very creepy. However, I'm just not getting a real Japanes...

Here it is:
I wish elements from the movie would cameo a lot more in works like this. The movie Goombas are just too cool a design to not exist in other universes.

Here's a review I wrote for Super Mario Bros. the rec.arts.movies.reviews newsgroup back when I was 13 or 14. Both IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes link to it, which is somewhat embarrassing. I'm going to quote the whole review because it's short. I'm less harsh on this film now than I was when I was 14! I...

I don't think I have this problem. Typically it does take me awhile to get back into the swing of an older game's mechanics, but generally not too long. If anything I question how it was ever so difficult to get beyond points that may have taken me hours to do so before.

It's not a particularly rare item, but it doesn't become available very often. I would have to add that, at a $0.99 starting bid, it's definitely a steal. If the price stays down I'd recommend getting it.

I was under the impression that 1upmushroom was conceiving this project as if it was produced back in 1993, which was a time when cartoons weren't renowned for the seasonal plots and developments of cartoons today. The show likely would have been episodic.

I've thought before about how an animated series would have been a great continuation of the film's themes and concept. There's a strong difference in the industry between Doctor Who episodes produced in the '60s and a tentpole blockbuster owned by Disney in the '90s. Also, why HAVE people compared Sonic with Mario anyway? I mean it may seem cool at first but logically it doesn't make much sense.
