Re: My Fan Edition DVD of the Super Mario Bros movie
LOL that is awesome. I've tried to fix that stupid problem myself before; I got it mostly fixed. But I totally would love a copy of that. "Special Bootleg Edition"...priceless. Maybe once I get EVERYTHING on the site there will be even more stuff and it'd be cool to make an "Ultimate...

My Fan Edition DVD of the Super Mario Bros movie
Hey guys, so I was watching SMB on my ps3 last year when I saw that the people with widescreen TVs get screwed over when viewing this movie. They cropped the movie in 16x9, but had it presented in a 4x3 picture. This meant that the picture itself was really small and the rest of the TV had a huge bl...

Re: Looking for Mario's costume...
Bit old but that costume is awesome! I might be tempted to be Luigi for Halloween one day though green coveralls might be a little tougher, there's always dye :D You can get a green jumpsuit off of ebay, or any thrift store and do the same thing I did with the Mario one. Back when this movie first ...

Re: UPCOMING: Exclusive interview with Jeff Goodwin!
Hopefully the interview has not been done yet, becuase I thought of two good questions. 1. The tall skinny cop with a mustache seen in the movie, I think his name was Simon, was he at any point originally supposed to be Luigi? 2. Were there ever talks of Captain Lou Albano and Danny Wells to return ...

Re: UPCOMING: Exclusive interview with Jeff Goodwin!
Now that most of my questions have been answered(most of them based apon the original script), it's hard for me to know what to ask now. So I'll just ask two of the same questions(from the last interview), plus 3 bonus. 1. Were you or did you witness the person getting splashed by hot coffee? Is tha...

Re: The Official 7/17/91 Script Thread--Updated 1/21/09
I also think the ending in the original may have been too horrible for kids, since Koopa falls in lava, I know it's in the game but it's cartoony. If it were in a live action movie it'd be a terrible thing to see. Well, I'm sure they would have filmed it in a 'tasteful' manner, like in the third &q...

Re: The Official 7/17/91 Script Thread--Updated 1/21/09
I read the script and have got to say it was a lot better than the final product. The power ups, Toad being a mushroom guy, Koopa actually a reptile, but some things being changed were upsetting. Yoshi being called Jr one of them, and then he just dissapears without a trace? I don't blame them for h...

Re: The Official Early Draft Script Thread--Updated 10/14/08
I hope it's sort of like the novelization, but then I'll just be like, "why wasn't the movie like this?" Wait, did the book have content that was cut from the film or something? :?: The book was more in depth with the relationship with the bros. For instance, Mario was kind of ashamed of ...

Re: The Official Early Draft Script Thread--Updated 10/14/08
I already like this way better than the final product. The fact that the bros. wear jumpsuit coveralls at the beginning is sweet. It almost sounds like Luigi would have had a mustache too. Great stuff, can't wait to read more. Oh yeah, I'm still a little shocked they said "shit."

I don't know if it has to be ONE question but I have two of them.
Did he know (or was he) the guy who got splashed with hot coffee when Rocky Morton didn't like a design somebody came up with?
What was the fungus made of?

Yeah, you're absolutely correct. In the original script (and kinda somewhere in those storyboards) Speaking of original script, how is that word by word transcript coming? Not to sound pushy or anything, I know you're probably really busy. I'm just dying to read it is all. Maybe give us a % of how ...

We were lucky enough to get this movie on an official DVD release couple years back. It's really a shame though that probably half of that movies film was either thrown away, stolen, or just dissapeared. I'd like to see the scene with the Scapelli Bros., and the Mario Bros, at the resteraunt, fighti...

Nice costume ultimateemail5000! What kind of red "hat" does Mario use in the movie? You seen to have found a perfect match. What brand of coveralls did you find for your costume? I'm trying to build a mario costume myself and it looks like you have a good start on that. Plan to tackle the...

Re: Looking for Mario's costume...
I took the sleeves, collar, and made pockets out of a blue button shirt, and atacched them onto a red jumpsuit that I cut the sleeves and collar off of. The red pockets on the jumpsuit are still there I just stitched the blue pockets over top of the red ones. It was all done by hand.

Re: SMB 35mm Print
By the way everyone I got this in the mail about a week or two ago. It's in great shape, I would say it may cover about 15-30 minutes. I'm not really too sure, it'd be nice to have a projector, the cost of renting a theater would cost way too much for the length of this film.

Re: Fan made scripts?
For some reason I really want to read a script for a sequal for this film. Does anyone have any fan scripts I can read? I'll give my critique if you want. It's not much, but it's a trailer I wrote for a sequel, I'll take critique. It's kind of a parody/sequel of it. You know how all movie sequels a...

SMB 35mm Print
So last night on eBay, I had a 150 dollar bid on the Super Mario Bros movie in it's original 35mm print and, I won it for 26.00+ shipping. I can't wait to get it, hopefully it's a directors cut or something. I doubt it will be a director's cut, but that would be sweet. I may be thinking of renting o...
