Re: "Darker and edgier" sensibility not so farfetched?

I don't find it farfetched at all, myself. I find SMB to be superior to the original Ninja Turtles film, which in my opinion was made running off the leftover fumes of cyberpunk.

Re: If SMB got the "George Lucas" treatment....

I would have it be put into 3D, ala Lucas is doing. And then also add "Smell-O-Vision", because I imagine there would be some really crazy smells for that film. I would give it a 70mm blow up print. As from what I have learned, printing 35mm on to 70mm actually enhances the resolution of 3...

Re: GTA "The Brothers Mario" Video

I found this funny, but I admit it's not in the spirit of Mario. No guns, not bullet shooting ones anyways. But I do like the "realistic" look, what I mean by "realistic" is that they look like actual human beings, instead of caricatures. I'd just love a game where I can be Bob H...

Re: Would the SMB games work with a serious tone?

I have noticed the return of Batman getting the campy look to it again. What I more less meant was, when it debuted in 1989, the immediate impact it had. Eventually as time has progressed, attitudes have shifted again. But I shan't turn this into a Batman thread. I just mean that I think in concept,...

Re: Would the SMB games work with a serious tone?

I would really love to see a serious Mario game. I remember hearing how Charles Martinet, Mario's current voice, said how he thought that his gritty Brooklyn accent "was scary and would not appeal to young children", so perhaps it was alittle more like Wario's voice? But don't get me wrong...

Re: NEW (CRAP) DVD RELEASE--STILL NON-ANAMORPHIC--YOU CAN HE

I do hope the original film stock is stored somewhere safe. After having watched programs on film restoration on the DVDs of "HELP!", "My Fair Lady" and "Lawrence Of Arabia", it's amazing how they let even very popular films rot and decay. Of course, in those days films...

Re: Hi y'all

I know I have to have it somewhere Mom never threw anything out at least. I am still digging through boxes of my old junk to see if it can be acquired.

Hi y'all

Hello, just wanting to say hello to all the other Super Mario Bros. fans!
Gosh, seeing all the old toys makes me want to dig out my Super Mario Bros. coloring book.
I had it, and of course colored in it, now if I could only find it...
