Re: Sequel Fan Poster

This is a great idea for a poster. I could imagine Bob Hoskins (Mario) in the same blue tone from the first poster holding the flame in his hand with a smirk on his face. The Steel Blue metallic "2" to the left center on a black background, a tagline underneath, and the company logos and r...

Wow, thanks! It was an idea that definitely took a lot of time of thought behind it. And considering I was just trying to remember what I came up with through short story, I think it worked.

Re: EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW--Richard Edson (Spike)

What intrigues me most about this interview is that Richard talks about the process of filming and what sounds like his pleasant experience with the actors and crew. He had a very different response to the questions that I expected him to have. It sounds, too, that he had so much fun making the movi...

Well, I have begun work on my next "sequel" concept and it will be titled, "Super Mario Bros. - Take to the Stars: Part Two". Or in short, SMB Stars II. And to give you all sort of a hint where it's going (if you can get it) I am posting a teaser. http://i54.tinypic.com/av4j6c.png

As much as a sequel intices me I would rather see a reboot. New adventure, new cast, new director, new everything. It's just a more realistic and optimistic goal in my eyes.

Re: WildWinger88's Sequel Poster Concepts

My favorite one is the "take to the stars" But, if Spielberg choose to direct a Mario movie he'll choose John Williams instead of Silvestri to do the score. That is true. I think when I made that I was under the impression that Silvestri did the score for the first film, he could do the s...

Re: WildWinger88's Sequel Poster Concepts

Cool! There must be a franchise of this movie! The posibilities of new and great stories are almost endless. That was what I aimed for. I loved the original film so much, I wanted to make "sequels". Ideas I had that could have been plausible future projects involved within the Mario realm...

Well, you did say in your initial post that it's a "spin-off concept," so I figured it'd be at least somewhat influenced by one of the scripts. That is true, I did say that. I guess what I meant was that it's a spin-off in the sense that it's a Mario-based character, but this would be a s...

Re: Wario/Waluigi Film Concept

Actually, I was looking at this concept to not be based as a spin-off of SMB '93 or the '91 script. This would more or less be it's own film with it's own identity. I'm just trying to figure out some good ideas to based such a film off of.

Jack Black is an interesting choice for this particular version of Mario. While I think he could pull off a level-headed "Mario," the '91 script's version of Mario is just so gruff and hardened that it'd be a sore waste of Black's comedic talents. People expecting Black for his comedy wou...
