12/21/11--20-Minute Fan Documentary/Season's Greetings

Postby Phlibbit » Thu Dec 22, 2011 12:43 am

Happy Holidays, fungineers! Just a few things to bring to your attention:

    * Did you attend last week's screening of Super Mario Bros. at the PIT in NYC? If so, shoot me an email and let me know if you had a good time.

    * Watch a 20-minute documentary on the Super Mario Bros. movie by college student Noah Whitaker! This documentary features a plethora of information, quotations and production images taken from our very own site, as well as a section devoted to our hard work and fan community.

Since this will likely be the last update before the new year, be safe and be merry. Plenty more content will come in 2012, don't you worry. Rest assured that the lack of "big" updates has more to do with our busy schedules than anything else. With only a year to go until the 20th anniversary of the film, things should definitely get more interesting around here.

Until next time, watch the film again with family or friends. Join our message board or make some new posts if you haven't visited in a while.

And of course...trust the fungus!

That documentary is just a real treat. While there's a few gaps in its timeline, Noah was still able to get across the most accurate representation of the film's development than what I've seen anywhere else. That's likely due in large part because of our own site's contribution. :D

Noah didn't have to use us as a resource, let alone source us or focus on our work so extensively, but he did. We're finally getting the appreciation we've earned.
