We've got some great new content in store for you today:

    * We've acquired an extremely rare Promotion Guide for the film that was given out to theaters in preparation for the film's release. There's a ton of great info in there about how Disney wished for the film to be marketed and what kinds of promo items were available at the time. Check out the full guide in our Media: Promotional Items section.

    * The Wilmington Star-News interviewed us about the website! Check out their article HERE.

More awesome content (and announcements) are coming! Stay tuned!

Awesome guide. I wonder if any theaters ever did that? I know I'd love to see one...

Nice update, i'd really like to see the outfits they'd hand out to the employees. I really think a lot of their ideas though sound kind of corny. I think people would be confused if they saw all the blocked off sections the theater due to plumbing issues. Especially if old people were in there, didn't know what SMB was, they would say something and give the theater bad rep or something stupid. I don't think my theater had any of this when I saw SMB. Good update.

I thought the same thing, UE5000. That could have been very confusing, though quite fun. I really liked the suggestion of inviting local plumbers to see the film. I wonder how many plumbers liked the character at the time, let alone knew about him?

We should figure out some sort of form of "viral marketing," like posting pictures that say "Re-Elect Koopa" around the town we're screening in or something. Something subtle, like "wanted" posters of the Marios' mugshots.
What would you do without your big brother?
I'd like to give it a shot and find out.
