As Hank and Guy worked in similar departments on similar projects we've decided to allow questions for both of them at the same time. This should save time and let you all come up with more questions by considering their individual roles compared to each other.

This interview is with Hank Carlson--who was involved in the development of Yoshi. He built the top and bottom halves of Yoshi's head as well as all the tongues, worked out the extending tongue, and painted a total of five heads.

wow, this is exciting!! Here is a question I have.

Since Jurassic Park was coming out the same year as Super Mario Bros, was there any connection or comparison between the Yoshi made for the movie and the dinosaurs made for Jurassic Park?

Also, were there any deleted scenes that involved Yoshi? Or was all of his footage included in the final cut of the film?

Unfortunately, Hank never went on-set and stayed behind at the shop so he may not be aware of any deleted footage.

No, Rob Burman was responsible for the stages of Koopa's de-evolution at the end of the film.
