EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW--Mark Goldblatt (Editor)

I'm pleased to finally make available something we've been working on for some time:

* Our exclusive interview with Mark Goldblatt, the editor of Super Mario Bros, is finally live! It's here where you'll discover even more behind-the-scenes talk and even some info on what an extended cut of the film could look like--and how much longer than the theatrical cut it would be. Throw in some great reflection on the film itself and you have a great read on your hands.

Stay tuned for more--as it's definitely coming!

The interviews continue to get better & better guys! This one was excellent and I'm really impressed you were able to get in touch with Mr. Goldblatt. He's an incredible editor! I've always thought that the editing and pacing of SMB was quite well done, especially given the numerous changes in filming from day to day.

Mark is a very sweet guy. We've kept a correspondence beyond the interview itself and hope that he'll be up for contributing to the site and our projects in the future. He really is very talented, so it was a pleasure talking to him. :D

Yeah he definitely seemed like a nice person! I bet it was a pleasure getting to chat with him and it looked like he gave you guys a nice chunk of his time.

As we've discussed before, all of these interviews and the info that has come out of them may end up being the key to drumming up enough interest to have a comprehensive blu-ray released of the film. Disney-Buena Vista obviously isn't going to go to the effort to dig up the special features for this film so I think the effort you guys have put into researching & archiving this info is the best way to pitch a blu-ray release to them.

This community is going to have to do the dirty work to end up getting what we want out of the film.

awesome interview! It's great hearing that he confirms the deleted scenes that we have been trying to unveil for a few years now. I know I haven't posted in a while, but I love it that I come back and continue to find more and more interesting updates here. Thanks for sharing this interview guys, and all the other things you've added to make this site outstanding! :D

Very informative interview! I'll be sure to continue to email Disney requesting this fabled "director's cut," because if anyone has the footage, they do.
What would you do without your big brother?
I'd like to give it a shot and find out.
