UPDATE: 11/30/10: Dave's interview is now online. You can find it here.
Yet another upcoming interview, guys! Get some questions in!
Dave Nelson--Yoshi Engineer
Dave designed and built the mechanical workings of the Yoshi puppet. He should have worked directly with Patrick Tatopolous on general design and Mark Maitre as far as incorporating the body and skin. He was the one speaking in the "Movie Magic" clip that states Yoshi is "cute and cuddly".
Notable other films he's worked on are Alien3 and Pumpkinhead.
Please submit questions until otherwise stated.

Re: UPCOMING INTERVIEW--Dave Nelson (Yoshi engineer)
This question might be redundant with the other Yoshi interview, but...
1. Was there any similarities, connection to, or inspiration in the design for Yoshi by the Jurassic Park movie being filmed at the time?
2. What did the original concept deign art look like for Yoshi? Was it originally meant to look like real dinosaur or was there an earlier design where it looked more like Yoshi in Super Mario World?
3. Was the Yoshi puppet originally supposed to be only 3 feet tall, or was there a larger design intended so that Mario or Luigi could ride him?
Hope these help
