EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW--Robert Rothbard (Production Manager)

Postby Phlibbit » Wed Mar 30, 2011 1:17 am

We've got an exclusive, unannounced interview with Robert Rothbard--the film's uncredited production manager. Lots of great info here on the production side of things, including some locations that were being considered for use in the film prior to the selection of the cement factory.

This was an awesome interview. While brief, Robert discussed a lot of things we haven't really heard before. It's very interesting to hear (and see!) what places could have been Dinohattan. The Gowana Flushing Station would have certainly made for a fantastic location, but the cement factory, despite all its faults, was obviously cheaper and more flexible.

It's also cool to hear of that strange deleted scene with Richard's character, "Squiggy." Definitely as fascinating, if not more so, than the similar "prehensile tongue" scene Jeff Goodwin mentioned.

Great interview, Ryan! Richard was really personable and as Steven said, gave some great new info we hadn't heard before.

As always, thanks for posting!
