In a recent search on ebay I came across this toy car made by ERTL http://www.ebay.com/itm/1990-ERTL-Super ... 938wt_1026
The reason I think it might be fake is because the labels look cut out and and the box says 1990 on it.
I also found a lot of other white vans made by ertl.
If anyone knows about this product could you also tell me what issue of nintendo power the prize was from.
Is this a fake product?

Surprisingly, I believe it's real. I still wouldn't pay any more than a $150 for it, despite its rarity. I'll see if I can track down that Nintendo Power contest for more info.

It's totally real. I remember seeing this thing featured or mentioned in a few Nintendo Power products. If I remember correctly, I want to say that the "Mario Mania" guide lists it as "one of the rarest pieces of Mario merchandise." I'll have to look and make sure when I get home. It's hard to gauge its value, but it most certainly is a pretty rare item.

It does.
Whether this is an authentic one, I suppose could be contested, but there is indeed a very rare Mario item which matches this description. Only a small number were made and distributed for some sort of charity, as I recall.
Never knew about the actual Nintendo Power affiliation, though.

Ha, isn't a pity that the movie never took off like it should have and we would still have memorabilia to this day that would span into thousands of items. Of course, had the movie been successful and gotten its promised sequels, they probably would have rebooted it now into something even more gritty along the lines of "The Dark Knight!"
What would you do without your big brother?
I'd like to give it a shot and find out.
