Interesting...the running time on the tape is 114 minutes, whereas the regular movie runs only 103 minutes...I wonder what that's about...?
What would you do without your big brother?
I'd like to give it a shot and find out.

*surprise* I have this. The reason it's longer is because there's a special effects featurette before the film starts! Wahooo! It's actually really cool and has some...interesting footage not seen anywhere else. I've been meaning to get the thing converted so I can post it.

That would be awesome...wish I had a copy, I have all the right equipment to convert VHS to a computer.

Awesome! I had seen a few of those ebay, didn't think too much of it, didn't even think to look at the running time. That's great. You've piqued my interest!!!

Yeah. When I bid on mine, it was only listed like a normal copy of the SMB movie. I could make out the words "Demo Tape," and in the small, grainy picture, I made out...check out...special effects...featurette...WHAT!? So yeah, it's a nice find.

So Phlibbit, it's really the same thing as the regular VHS version except with a bonus feature at the start?

Basically, yeah. There's the featurette, and then the film. Although every so often, a message will scroll across the screen saying stuff like "THIS IS A SCREENER VIDEO. THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BE PURCHASED. IF YOU PURCHASED THIS CALL BLAH BLAH BLAH JAIL BLAH ETC..."

:D
