E3 2013 -- New Mario Bros., Mario Kart & Smash Bros.!

Well, it appears that Nintendo's offerings at E3 this year have been very well received. Their presentation may have even been a greater success than Microsoft and Sony's.

So, let's discuss some of the titles they've announced!

First up is Smash Bros., which has introduced fan-favorite Mega Man. LBD_nytetrayn should love that!

Next is Super Mario 3D World, the first main series Mario title to feature Peach as a playable character since the original Super Mario Bros. 2! In addition, they have introduced the 'dat kitty' power-up, which enables players to transform into a fierce cat. That alone will sell the game a million copies. :)

Mario Kart 8, the next in the incredibly addicting series! Producer Hideki Konno has labeled it "the definitive Mario Kart," which is a statement I can definitely get behind. With the incorporation of hover-vehicles and simply gorgeous tracks I will certainly be picking this game up.

Finally, Donkey Kong Country Returns: Tropical Freeze. Who won't be picking this up after Retro's incredibly turn at the franchise with the original? This title marks the triumphant return of fan-favorite Dixie Kong, as well as underwater levels and a few other additions.

What does everyone think? Any thoughts or concerns?

What I'm confused about is that it's called "3D World." Makes sense for the 3D in the 3DS but not so much the WiiU. Same problem with all of the titles with the "New" in them.

I also really like the SMB2 comparisons to Super Mario 3D World.

Some keen observers have already noticed what could be the return of the Subcon people in one of the game's trailers. With all the SMB2 comparisons...what if we finally got to see Wart again?

You know, usually I'd be sitting here reading everyone's thoughts about Nintendo games on the message board dedicated to the Super Mario Bros. movie much to my chagrin, but after reading half the comments about E3 on YouTube, all I have to say this time is...

I feel exactly like that. I am so excited for all these new games, I am getting a WiiU this weekend, and I am so ready to kick it off with NSMBU. Nintendo is just blowing it up and this is awesome. It's the moment I have long waited for since Microsoft first showed its face in the console world.

Super Mario 3D world looks amazing. Seeing the Princess and Toad as playable characters makes me want it more. This might sound silly but a 3D Mario game where you can play as Peach is a game I've wanted to play since Mario Party came out.

Wart's return make sense and would be amazing, but I don't think Nintendo loves us that much. In some of the released videos you can see Bowser's icon on the death screen. Unless the two bosses are working together that must indicate that Bowser is the only villain in this title.

I hope the plot is as deep as Super Mario Galaxy. While it might not be mission Based. It still has collectible stars. I don't think Wart will be the Main villain, however I do think he will be a boss. We've see a new Yoshisaur. (Yes I had to say it! :D) And we've seen a Snake King so wart might just be a fancy Boss. Oh and on the subject of Bosses. Where 3D land lacked. 3D World seems to be thriving. :)

So... Mega Man? Wow, that's going to be tough for me; Mario's always been my main, even after they downgraded him with F.L.U.D.D. last time out.

But watching Mega Man in action, watching his moves... I don't know, it honestly feels like they're intuitive, like I can imagine myself playing already just by watching the videos... and I don't even know how most of them are performed! ...though I do have some guesses.
