Great article! Thanks for sharing. I remember reading about the fact that the name Mario came from NOA's landlord haha. But I can understand why he doesn't want anything to do with the franchise.

That is a good article, I think I remember my friend showing me an article about Mario Segale back ina bout 97. I'm not so sure, but there was somebody wearing a red hat and shirt, with blue overalls(I think it was Segale, not really sure), and the article was all about him, can't remember if it was an interview or story. Either way this was very interseting to read about the man and how he's doing today, and still kickin. He has surpassed Lou Albano.

Really cool. Nice to get some behind the scenes info on the REAL Mario. Now if only we could find the real Wario...

"Segali" really would fit as both the proper and official surname for Mario and Luigi. While I have no problem with "Mario," it's just an issue best left ignored.

If "Segali" was their surname, then they wouldn't be the Mario Bros. They'd be the Segali Bros.

I like "Mario" as their last name; it's just the sort of quirkiness that works for the series.
