Come on guys, don't tell me there is nobody playing this awesome game there!

Let me introduce this topic with a personal video:

But we can talk about SMK in a much less hardcore way of course

Of course! :) I actually own this game for the SNES and played it for a few days during a rough time in my life, but I've never truly been able to get into it. It's an incredibly difficult game that requires skill that I unfortunately don't have.

It probably doesn't help that I first played this game used and never had the opportunity to play it as a new release. I instead grew up playing Mario Kart 64, which is a truly brilliant game, but definitely not as demanding as the original.

I play it! It was of course one of the two games which came with my SNES when I first had it, the other game being Super Mario All-Stars. I experimented with everyone and I found Toad and the Koopa Troopa to be my best players, but I seem to remember I scored my first 50cc Star Cup gold trophy with Bowser - who obviously is now my main on all Mario Kart games.

When I completed Mario Kart: Double Dash last year, yes Bowser was my prime choice racer and my second choice was Daisy, and I chose the Bullet Bill kart (if you use certain AR codes then there is no restriction on your choice of kart). But I'm thinking, next time I play then maybe I should swap Daisy for our man Mario himself? Out of respect for Captain Lou Albano, yes - and if any more Mario and Bowser players make a gameplay video, then maybe you can edit it with Mario VS King Koopa sound bites from the movie? :?:
"Somewhere my love, there will be songs to sing... although the snow covers the hope of Spring..."
Sergeant Simon: Sir, the Goombas are dancing again...
King Koopa: DEAL WITH IT!!

I used to watch my younger brother play the N64 version of this, back when it first came out and we rented it. I have never been very into or skilled at racing games, but I enjoyed watching him play this. My favorite part about the game was the sound effects of the characters. So much that to this day I'll find myself spontaneously quoting Mario's "Mama mia!" and Toad's "I'm the best!" What were the lines of the other characters? I seem to have forgotten after all these years. :|

That would be SO COOL. I hope someone does end up posting a gameplay video, if they haven't already.
