Hello everyone!
I hail from Northern Virginia, and saw the movie in theaters when I was seven years old. Twenty years later, I still trust the fungus and want a sequel.
Greetings from Virginia!

Nice to have such a veteran fan around. Most of us were barely born when it came out!

Welcome aboard, man. It's always nice to see new people join, especially as this is the film's 20th anniversary year.

At seven you must have had some crazy interpretations for the film. Do you remember at all how you perceived it at that age?

I just remember really digging it!
If many of you weren't quite around yet when the film was in theaters, I'd love to hear your stories on how you discovered this movie.
Re: Greetings from Virginia!
I hadn't played the games enough to really be into them when I was introduced to the film. One day, when I was a kid, the movie was on TV and I had started watching it while waiting to go to a sleepover. When my friend and his parents came to pick me up, I had to stop watching it, but we rented it and watched the whole thing that night. I was hooked ever since.

I was huge into the Mario series as a kid, so when my mom found out there was a movie she let me know. She ended up recording one of the TV broadcasts onto VHS and drawing a cute Mario face onto the label. I still have it!

Typical story for me: I liked the games, so I was always on the lookout for products from the franchise. It was somewhat surprising that there was a movie, but once I watched it and overcame the aesthetic differences I grew to love it.

I recall hearing this story before. I'd love to see what that tape looks like
