Hey guys!

Well, I took my sweet time getting a greeting up, eh?
Yeah, I know I already posted a comment, but I think it would be more proper to introduce myself (or some polite stuff like that).
My name is Saber, or Steven. I've been a Super Mario fan all my friggen life. Seriously, the first console I ever owned was an NES back in the early 90's (I missed out on the 80's). First game ever played. Mario... or some Christan game from Wisdom Tree, but Mario was the one I remember enjoying to the fullest extent. Soon I was watching the cartoons, reading the comics, and writing fan comic stuff in grade school. I was hooked! And my excitement only grew when I heard about the film. First time I saw it... I had no idea what the hell was going on, but I enjoyed every moment of it. Years later, after becoming less obsessed with the series, I began checking reviews on the film, "It sucks!", they would say. "Two thumbs down!", "Careers destroyed and ruined!", "Luigi had his hat on the wrong way and was facial-hair challenged, there for it's a bad film!". I looked at the film again, and my view was still the same. Awesome experience, but this time I enjoyed even more.
While it's not the greatest film of all time (I could pick out a few nitpicks here and there, but they would be far more accurate than that "Nothing like the games" bull), I'm astounded by how unfairly it has been treated. The way I see it, the fans hate it because they where expected something much more. While the non-fans were not expecting anything special to begin with. The film gets a bum rap because it was to realistic for the gamer fans and it wasn't realistic enough for the the moviegoers? I just can't get around that.
While the plot wasn't the greatest, and the acting could have been better here and there, the film was, and is to this day, one of the most inventive and artistic pieces to come out in years. And not just that, it holds a certain charm that just makes you interested from beginning to end. In fact, to this day, I nearly cheer every time Mario and Luigi dawn there jumpsuits. Awesome.
Now that I got that off my chest, a little about myself.
I'm 18, going on 19 in April. I'm an artist, I'm a huge fan of comics and cartoons, comedy, action/adventure films and to this day still can't get all the exits in SMW. Oh, I'm a big gamer, too. ... I have said to much!
... and to this day I still make it a habit to repeat the same thing over and over again (can you catch what this week's phrase is?)
Hope to talk to you guys more in the future!
