Ello' people! Imma new member, (not something you see everyday!) simply joining because I enjoy Super Mario Bros.! :)

I am one of the few lucky chaps who saw the movie in theaters back in '93, bought the VHS when it came out, but, sadly, I was the only kid who liked it that I knew of at the time. :( Even though it's been years I still like the movie as much as did when I first saw it! Mostly for it's nostalgic value, Bob Hoskins, & sci-fi/dark atmosphere take on the games, I find the movie to be a worthy adaption! :D

I'm also on YouTube under the name, "MegaKoopaBro64" add me if ya' have an account! I have a handful of Mario Bros. clips & a fan-made music video, not much, but it's somethin'!

Well, that's all for me ta' say! So...yeah...Hi.

Anyway its good to see that we have another veteren SMBMOVIE viewer that saw it in theaters. I'm willing to guess that no one was there, or maybe just booing and leaving .

You'd be surprised! We've had 12 new and returning members this month alone! We're glad to add you to that list. :P

For the very same reasons as you (and more!) I also find the movie to be a worthy adaptation of the games. While it's not exactly the most visually-faithful adaptation it could have been, it still manages to implement the basics of the games and capture the overall spirit of "Mario." In those regards it was an utter success to me.

It's great to have you around. You really are lucky having seen the movie in theaters. Very few of us were able to and even those that have can't quite remember the experience well enough to appreciate it. Hopefully it was influential enough to make you such a strong fan. :D

Thank you guys!

Yeah, the theater was actually FULL, as I saw it opening day or maybe the day after, it was too long ago! A lot of people left during the movie as they were not pleased with it :(

A lot of the kids that were there jumped & screamed when Koopa became that T-rex (It was actually freaky seeing that for the first time in a theater, especially as a young 4 year old) Don't remember much else, only half the people there stayed the whole movie, as it was removed from the theaters in about a week

If anything, it's cool to know that that many people stayed to the end and that the T. rex reveal actually scared some people. :P

Anyways, you're welcome to post your Mario Bros. clips & music video. I'm sure we'd all like to watch them.

Hello, KoopaBro64, and welcome to the boards! I just joined myself, my first experience with the film was back in theaters, too. I was twelve, and went with my best friend and his parents. Like you, he and I loved every minute of it.

I don't have a Youtube account I use anymore, but I'll definitely be checking out your channel and videos. :)
