A place for those who "Trust the Fungus"

Well I may be turned down from what I am about to say but I loved the Super Mario Bros. Movie. The actors where really good. I don't think that Luigi and Mario should be the same age or look the same I love that they were just regular people before they met Daisy and that they weren't like Scapelli they felt the need to help her. I love that they didn't make Daisy a slut or too girly. I played some of the game (a little flash player version) with my cousin. By the way Contstance Longmore isn't my real name it is an alias.

BUT I like Sonic the Hedgehog better as a game. Mario Bros. is 2nd to Sonic but that may change, and It probably will. I only recently (like in the last several months) watched the movie. I do have a nephew who is hooked to Super Mario Bros. game and beats his dad and mom at it and he was 4 when he beat them

I really love the movie and I don't see why people hate it. I think the people were perfect and I think they should make a sequel. if you are interested in my petition for a sequel go to:

Mario and Luigi definitely shouldn't have looked or acted the same. At the time in the games they really were just carbon-copies of each other. Sure, some media depicted Luigi as taller and less courageous, but those differences wouldn't really solidify until years after the movie had been written. Likewise, the Princess (whether Toadstool or Daisy) didn't have much personality to work with, so the writers did an admirable job in making her an intelligent, interesting character rather than someone driven purely by sex appeal, as so common in latter-day video game adaptations.

As several people have stated already, I don't believe we'll received a filmed sequel to the movie any time soon. However, we might see the story continued in some fashion with enough push. Right now we're working to get Disney to re-release an extended and re-mastered version of the film. There's just about 30 minutes of deleted scenes, so there's surely a much different movie waiting to be watched.
