A place for those who "Trust the Fungus"

hi folks. new guy here, 30 years old, graphic artist from NH. long time fan of the Mario franchise and games, as well as the movie. totally underrated! I always hoped for a sequel after Daisy storms into the apartment at the end, but I guess all the actors moved on to bigger and better things. I recently designed a replacement dvd cover for the SMB movie which I will be uploading shortly to share with everyone here.

Welcome, JoeBlow80! I agree that the film was totally underrated and could have easily generated one of the few examples of a superior sequel. All the groundwork had already been lain with the first film so the second could have focused more on the fascinatingly grotesque qualities of the parallel world and the consequences Mario & Luigi's efforts have had to it post-Koopa's downfall.

I look forward to seeing that DVD cover! You're also welcome to post in any topic on the board, no matter how old, if you feel you have to add. When it comes to the movie, there's always something that can be added to the discussion.

I know what you're saying about a sequel, but that's something every fan of the Super Mario Bros. movie has to live with every day for the rest of their lives is knowing that the greatest movie ever made will never have the promised sequel to a cliffhanger ending.
