Just bought a game called Pool Paradise at the flea market last Sunday. It's a billiards-themed game, and it's quite fun if a little on the hard side. Still, I'm like, "Finally! A pool game with decent physics!" Highly recommended.

That's pretty cool. Pool games are something I don't experience that often but I should give that one a shot if I ever see it for cheap.

And it looks like Star Fox Adventures has yet to be mentioned in this thread! I just started a new game on my Wii in Progressive Scan/16:9 and it's truly an amazing game. It gets a lot of criticism for not being like any other StarFox game after the character was shoehorned into Rare's original Dinosaur Planet, but I think it turned out incredibly well overall.

Trust me, I think it was a fluke. It could very well be a rare one.

Bought three other games last Sunday: Goldeneye Rogue Agent, Spider-Man 2, and Star Wars Rebel Assault 2.

I really don't understand the flak Goldeneye gets, 'cause it's very fun if a bit undistinguished. Some of the save points are a headache--doors don't always reopen once you've gone through them, so you're pretty much stuck with whatever pitiful gun you've got on hand (this is a problem on Crab Key).

Spider-Man 2...hoo boy, this one's addictive with a capital A. It's also one of the most beautiful Gamecube games I've ever had the pleasure to play. You really feel like you are Spider-Man, swinging through the streets of New York. And guess what? ALL of New York City is open for you to explore! The final fight with Doc Ock at the end is a bit of a nightmare, so be prepared to spend a few hours getting it just right.

And...the less said about Star Wars Rebel Assault 2, the better. It's a flight sim, but I think Lucasarts forgot that a game has to be fun first and foremost. Even Enter the Matrix was more enjoyable!

I just eBayed two GameCube controllers, a power block-cord and Double Dash!! As my birthday is coming up I thought it would be as good a time as any to get everything in order for a little party-playing. :P

I'll let everyone know what I think of it once I've played through a few tracks.

Double Dash is not the best Mario Kart of the series, I remember having it for a while and was very disappointing. You might like it though, let us know how you feel about it.

My initial impression of Double Dash!! was not very good, although I can probably place those feelings on how poorly I played. It's just a completely different experience with a definite learning-curve. Movement-sensitivity is especially something that takes getting used to.

However, after a few playthroughs I found myself playing much better and enjoyed the experience more because of that. It's much more of the game that I wish the original Mario Kart 64 could have been, mostly in terms of rewarding accomplishments with new carts and tracks. We're still working to unlock the Special Cup, but are having fun in the meantime.

As Redstar's brother I can attest to having completely shit-stomped him at Double Dash!!, but he got better after a few playthroughs. I still ended up doing most of the work and unlocked all of the new tracks, characters and karts.
