I personally think Zelda would have made a great fantasy film. Metroid would have been a decent sci-fi horror that's all about atmosphere combining the effects and scares from Alien with the loneliness and isolation from I am Legend (2007).
Contra's very easy. Arnold Schwarzenegger as Bill Rizer, Sylvester Stallone as Lance Bean, one liners, monsters, BFG's, chase scenes, explosions, pyhsics defying scenes, shootouts, kids in peril, uses of the f-bomb, post apocolyptic cities, the famous code, and a villian planning to take over the world.

Ecco the Dolphin would make a pretty cool transcendental art film about evolution and self-identity. It wouldn't even need human actors. It'd even work as either live-action or animated.
Legend of Legaia would be an awesome anime series since it deals with much the same themes that the Japanese explore. It's a very dark and at times horrifying story about humanity forced to live in walled settlements that protect from flesh-dissolving Mist and the monsters therein. A group of adventurers unite and travel into the Mist, discovering Genesis Trees that push back the Mist and ancient symbiotes called Ra-Seru that bond with them.

Jazz Jackrabbit in animated form as done by Don Bluth, director of hit animated movies like All Dogs Go to Heaven, An American Tail and The Land Before Time. I'd give my right nut to see that.

The Front Mission games, well there are 2 movies but they don't have any mecha combat in them, would be a good one as would be Armored Core. Shadowrun would be a good one too, as would Phantasy Star, Star ocean had one anime series but it was so so.
Xenogears and xenosaga would be really good but might tick off religious groups with it's take on things. I want to see a Duke Nukem cartoon. Bionic Commando would be a good movie. The problem with all these is that the studios would screw it up like they always do or the writers would. It should be mandatory that the creators of the games be given the ability to help write or have creative control. At least with the resident evil movies Capcom had to ok everything and make the producers and directors meet them in Japan. Then again the RE movies are way bigger over there than they are here.
Fallout would be a good one if they'd keep the style and humor of the original 2 games and not the new ones. It would have that big empty feeling of I am legend too.

Look up Fallout Nuka-Break. It's a Fallout Fan web series. It's awesome.

I loved Pitfighter in the arcade. Primal Rage could have been an interesting one but would have ended up like the 90s US godzilla disaster. X-com was another that would have been good as a show or movie.

Not exactly Primal Rage, but they are currently trying to adapt Rampage.

Well they've made a movie out of Battleship so nothing shocks me. Hasbro sold the movie rights to all their board games

They actually made a battleship movie?
Go-go gadget sell out . Anyways, if given the right producers and directors, Rampage could be an incredibly funny movie again if done right.

It's still in the process of being made, though a few trailers have come out.
Stars Alexander Skarsgard, Liam Neeson and Rihanna, among others.

lol No, Bay the movie destroyer has nothing to do with it. I'm praying that they do a reboot with the next Transformers movie and give us something that looks like a Transformer and not a overly engineered thing.

Yeah, that's an adaptation of Jazz Jackrabbit...if you sort of squint. Also, it should be noted that "Bucky O'Hare and the Toad Wars" came out in 1991, whereas the first Jazz Jackrabbit came out three years later in 1994, but didn't gain its massive popularity until around 1997, with the release of "Jazz Jackrabbit 2," and "Holiday Hare '98." There was also to be a "Jazz Jackrabbit 3" in "3D" which would have rivaled games like "Super Mario 64," yet sadly it never came to pass.
But I digress; Bucky O'Hare is about an intergalactic space pilot based on a children's comic book about a war between Mammals and Reptiles, whereas Jazz Jackrabbit is the story of a brave hero from the planet Carrotus, who is trying to stop a race of evil turtles-- as the "Jazz" series is a quasi-sequel to "The Tortoise and the Hare," but set some three thousand years after Aesop's fable.

I think Out Of This World (US) Another World (EU) would make an interesting movie, it's about a scientist who in a freak accident gets transported to an alien world. It would make a great action movie.
Other Games......
Lester the Unlikely: Bad game, good movie Adventure Island: Come on, who woulden't want to see this made into a movie? and Star Fox, I'd love to see it as a CGI movie.

Star Fox would have been a great property to see adapted to film in the '90s or even a cliche-filled action series.
However, I don't agree that it should be in CGI. I would much rather have seen a '90s adaptation done with the puppets shown in the original promotional artwork:

I'm still having nightmares over that puppet artwork-- I rarely say this, but I think CGI's for the best in the case of "Star Fox."

I think they could do it muppet movie style and if any cgi is used it should be to help make things look better or for stuff that absolutely couldn't be done practically.

Megaman (An official one, not a fan-film) Duke Nukem: a movie perfect for the 1990's Phoenix Wright: If you like legal dramas with a mix of comedy. Perfect Dark: Female James Bond with Aliens. and finally. Earthbound: 4 kids on a mission to save the world from EVERYTHING!
that's my other choices, watcha think?

I have extremely low expectations of that Phoenix Wright movie, I figure it will be pretty bad. Reason being: It's by Takashi Miike, the same guy who did the below average Yakuza: Like A Dragon movie.
Unless he actually bothers to put some effort into this one (As he does do a good film now and then), we shall have to see.

Oh, you know what would make a killer movie? "Wolfenstein 3D." I'd do it entirely in the first person mode that the one scene in "Doom" was done in.
