There are so many I can't even really imagine. But I remember being really awesome at the Super Star Wars series on SNES, but when I bought the carts a few years back and played them I was terrible and didn't even know how I was able to beat them. I also used to be really good at MK64 but I can no longer play it long enough to want to be good at it. Also though I'm still awesome at it, I used to be able to beat SMB in 6 minutes, but now can only do it in 8.

I'm a one-time Blockbuster champion of Donkey Kong Country, but yeah... I've definitely gotten rusty.

And don't even talk to me about Toxic Tower in the second one. It sucked then, and is so much worse now.

I don't think I have this problem. Typically it does take me awhile to get back into the swing of an older game's mechanics, but generally not too long. If anything I question how it was ever so difficult to get beyond points that may have taken me hours to do so before.

The Gamecube system. I used to kick each of the games the system had to offer until I started playing the playstation series. While I'm not terrible, I have gotten very rusty, do to the fact that I:e gotten used to the playstation controls.
Isn't this a little feminine?

I get this a lot when it comes to reaction times and just knowing my way around games in general. A lot of times I'll go back to old games I've played years ago like Sonic 3 & Knuckles or Devil May Cry, and it'll be completely noticeable that I'm a better gamer now than I was back then, since I'll have a better grasp of the mechanics and I'll generally perform better, but I'll find myself still losing to bosses or doing worse than my 10 year old self might have back when I had all the time in the world to learn the ins and outs of the levels and stuff. It's kind of unique feeling getting back in the groove of a game you remember fondly of, though.
