3DS Discussion/Recommendations

Since our discussion/recommendations topics for the
Nintendo 64 and
Nintendo Gamecube have been pretty popular, I figured I'd go ahead and create a thread for the Nintendo 3DS, to cover games that fall outside the scope of the Mario games that have topics in other forums. Of course, you can discuss Mario 3DS games here as well if it's brief enough to not warrant its own topic.
Separate 3DS Game ThreadsOfficial "Super Mario 3D Land" Discussion3DS Friend CodesI'll also list friend codes here in this first post, for those that want to have them displayed:

I recently picked up Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy. It definitely has this kind of cult/sleeper hit feel to it because of how quirky it is and the fact that it's exclusively on the 3DS. It's a rhythm game featuring the best Final Fantasy music, which is great in and of itself, but the game also makes an RPG of sorts out of the game's structure and you can have a party of characters that level up and use items, etc. Definitely something to try if you're looking for something different.

I downloaded the demo to that and really enjoy it, and I am terrible at those games but I really have a good time playing that one.
I would suggest Ocarina of Time 3D, it's fun to just play the original with updated graphics, and some new elements, and the Master Quest that was only released in Japan and the GCN version in the states.
It's a shame I don't have many 3DS games, I'd like to try Star Fox, I'd like to get paper mario, and really want Luigi's Mansion 2. My girlfriend is dying to have Animal Crossing 3DS.
I'm looking for a DSi game of DBz: Attack of the Saiyans, i used to have it and would like to get it again. If anyone has a copy and would like to sell it let me know.

Has anyone played the Adventure Time game yet? I read it's so good it's like a long awaited sequel to Zelda II.

I just got the Adventure Time game last night and it is real fun/ny. The layout of the game is just like Zelda 2 on the NES which is one of my favorite Zelda games. The game is very creative, being written by the creator of the show, and wayforward did such an awesome job with this title. Though I will admit, I think it took me about 4 hours to beat, but you unlock a harder quest after, and since the game is short, it's well worth replaying. This is game is way better than Paper Mario Sticker Star that is definetly for sure.

Luigi's Mansion officially hasa multiplayer mode, and for the first time since the original SMB, we get to see Luigi in his white hat, green shirt, and white overalls outfit.

That's pretty awesome! I have a lot of faith in the dev team over at Next Level Games. Can't wait for Luigi's Mansion.
Also--I beat Paper Mario: Sticker Star. Probably the 3rd best, behind Thousand Year Door and the original. It was a great entry in the series, especially for a handheld game. However, it really didn't have as much depth as I would've liked, and after you beat the game there really isn't that much to do in terms of replayability.

I am still dissapointed over Sticker Star I was expecting way to much then what it gave. It still beats SPM though. I would rate it the third in the series. If they make one for Wii U they should make it look just like the construction paper style of the boxart, and have a true Mario RpG style. But if they keep letting Lucas, er uh, Miyamoto handle the series, it will not happen.

Maybe I'm just thinking this since it's the latest Paper Mario game I've played, but I thought that Sticker Star gave the best presentation of "paper" Mario in the series. Pulling stickers off of walls, the neat sound effects, and the way that unlocking new levels had this great paper tab-pulling effect.

Seems like Sticker Star was a disappointment, but will Luigi's Mansion 2 satisfy? The fact that it's being released at all suggests the team behind it cares about the fanbase. I think it'll be a fun continuation of Luigi's side-adventure in ghostbusting.

Hey everyone I've been playing Animal Crossing and have made a red and green plumbers top uniform. I'll post the QR pics when I have time. Soon when or if I can make pants and shoes there can be a whole costume complete with thwomp boots. I also have Goku's Gi, He-mans chest harness, and Evil Dead 2 Ash's shirt torn up. I will add all these or come visit my town.

There are Boots in New Leaf that look like thwomp stompers. Look for "Red Lace Up Boots"

Nice only thing that sucks is I read you cannot design pants or shoes which is a mega bummer and let down if you ask me. but I enjoy making shirts like A LOT.

Indeed it is very disappointing you can't make pants. Oh well. At least the Mario Hats are for sale at the Able Sisters now. Just be on the look out for Red and Green pants if they have them.

My gf actually bought me frog pants, tan and link pants as well. Which all go good with my shirts. I just made a new one last night called Monster Hero, aka Toxie.
