A place for those who "Trust the Fungus"

I've done it, I just don't remember which game it was. I think it was "Twisted Metal" (the good one on the original PlayStation from '95) and Star Fox 64-- that one I've done several times in one sitting.

Star Fox 640 is pretty short though. I remember when my little brother got Luigi's mansion one morning he sat down to play it and then finished it later that night. It seemed like a decent sized game from the look of it. I only came in to check it out every now and then. As for me... I kind of like taking long breaks, sometimes weeks, just to reflect on and digest the story. If it's a good one.

I have an attention span the size of a walnut, so it's hard for me to do a game in one sitting.

I typically prefer playing games in chunks to elongate the experience, though I've been knowing to play Super Mario World through.

Whenever I play that I always wonder when the last time will be that I play it. I swear, in my heyday, I could speed run that game at a potentially competitive level. It's a good one. I never played through Mario 64 again though.

I know all the secrets of the game. I've played it countless times throughout my life. I believe it was even my first Mario game.

Holy crap, you must be a god at that game. I can't get past the first few levels in under three hours...

New Super Mario Bros on the DS, it was a shame too beating it that quick. I didnt get all the coins at first just beat the levels. I almost beat Galaxy in 12 hours as well, by that I mean just getting enough stars to beat the game.

Now if i get a new mario game I just put it down so I don't beat it so quickly.Hopefully NSMB2 wont be the same way since there's a million coins to collect.

I do remember getting through the first Sonic the Hedgehog in one go. Several times.

Batman: Vengeance is another good one. Its levels are so short, but it's still a good Batman game.

damn thats really awesome. i just beat sonic 2 for the first time ever in my life. i always found them really hard to beat.

Seems like I'm just now discovering some good new topics to post in since we've got this new "General Gaming" sub-forum.

I ended up playing Heavy Rain for the PS3 in one sitting. One of my best friends was over and we were about wrapped up playing games for the night when we decided to pop in Heavy Rain and just play the first section or so to get introduced to it. We were so hooked by the story that we played through the entire game right then and there

I also had a friend come over and play through the entirety of Super Mario World in one sitting. He said he could do it and I didn't believe him. And I hadn't seen the game all the way through at the time, so it was a real treat.

I thought segregating the General topics further would be a good way to spur discussion. Video game threads seem to be very popular on here, so giving them their own section is just our way of saying that we support that conversation.
